About the Hotel

Gracefully created from four restored Georgian townhouses, The Merrion is an historic retreat in the heart of Dublin. Only a tiny brass nameplate marks the hotel's unassuming brick exterior, but inside, marble floors and columns and ornate rococo plasterwork ceilings show off the grand style of 18th century Ireland. Each element of the hotel inspires admiration--from the bedrooms adorned with Irish fabrics and antiques to Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud to the soothing ambience of Tethra Spa. Take time to enjoy the notable works of 19th and 20th century art, considered to be one of the most important private collections in Ireland.

Reviews for The Merrion

Stay here!

The Merrion is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We were treated like royalty by every staff member we encountered. They were very accommodating on the morning we arrived, providing us with complimentary coffee and pastries, and allowing us to check into our room several hours early. The room was impeccable, and the breakfasts were fabulous.

Super 5* Hotel in the middle of the City Centre. Highly recommended. Beautiful interior decor. Quite internal manicured gardens. All staff are extremely helpful. Looking forward to returning again next month for a longer stay. Absolutely NO negatives.

Attentive staff, beautiful, deluxe bed. Warm, luxurious decor. A breath of fresh air to see such outstanding attention to detail. Considerate of Grandchildren's needs, beautiful, thoughtful touches every day embellishing the room with balloons, exciting books to read. An assortment of biscuits and a fresh box of vibrant, fresh Clementines. This hotel exudes quality and pride.
