This stay was a perfect ending to our trip through China and HK. Decadent and elegant charming service which made us feel like royalty. Our standard room was large enough to have an extra rollaway bed for our son without it feeling cramped in any way. The harbour view is definitely worth it - we visited Felix Bar and other restaurants with harbour views and yet we felt our room view was the best. Amenities are modern and the fitness centre is amazing with jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, and a 25m swimming pool. Location is incredibly convenient. We were sick of hotel breakfasts so we just ventured out to neighbouring streets - Nathan Rd and Hankow Rd had lots of local restaurants serving amazing HK food and dim sum. The metro station is just behind the hotel hence easy to get around the city. Housekeeping is immaculate - everything gets refreshed with attention. It was very hard to leave. Flexible checkout time meant we could stay in our room until it was time to depart for the airport at 630pm. A memorable stay in HK!

Great location and great bars and restaurants. I was here for Chinese new year and it was all decorated beautifully. The sky bar was epic and we all loved how close it was to the avenue of the stars. Amazing views from our hotel window or the city .

We had stayed frequently at The Peninsula many years ago and we had wondered whether standards at the hotel were going to be the same or different to what we had experienced in the past. We travelled to and from the hotel in one of The Peninsula's Rolls Royce cars. The trip from the airport was smooth and comfortable as it was fairly hot in Hong Kong. We were greeted at the front entrance and seamlessly booked into our room. Our room had a courtyard view and was in the old part of the Peninsula. We have a preference for these rooms. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows moulded to your body so you could sleep comfortably. The towels were among the best and largest towels we have had the pleasure of using in a hotel. We had our breakfasts in the Veranda restaurant. The breakfasts at the Veranda are buffets with the range and quality of the food available being world class as is the quality of the service. The other thing at The Peninsula that has not changed is High Tea. We booked in advance for High Tea. The High Tea was better this time around as we are not lovers of macarons and they were not on the trays. The room attendants were also excellent. The location of The Peninsula was perfect for us as it was only a block away from where our tailor is located and a short walk to the new K11 shopping centre that has replaced the New World Centre. Our departure was also in one of The Peninsula Rolls Royce cars. Jackie was our driver and the trip was smooth and comfortable on what was another hot day in Hong Kong. The assistance with our bags at the airport was also much appreciated as heavy bags and a steep ramp are not easy to navigate as you get older.

Very good rooms and elegant public areas . The hotel though is let down by having to queue for breakfast, unacceptable for a 5* hotel. I have never experienced this at any other hotel, even those not considered iconic. Afternoon tea in the lobby looks like a similar experience.

I have traveled throughout the world, and I have never had a better experience anywhere than at the Peninsula in Hong Kong. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. The use of the hotel’s Rolls Royce, which I used to pick my husband up from the airport, was incredible icing on the cake.
