The Upper House is a highly individualized small luxury hotel designed by Hong Kong architect Andre Fu. The hotel’s 117 rooms including 21 suites and 2 penthouses, start at 730 square feet, the largest in Hong Kong. Rooms and suites feature wonderfully spacious bathrooms and dressing areas, and offer either scenic harbour or island views. Calming and contemporary, the rooms are designed to provide a sense of relaxation, warmth and understated luxury. Bespoke service, well-crafted natural materials and a design aesthetic based around the ‘Upward Journey’ creates a timeless serenity that flows through the different rooms of our House.

Honestly, this is an incredibly mid hotel. It kind of smells musty, is overpriced for what it is, and there are virtually no amenities (no pool, basically one restaurant, no spa, barely a lobby). When I arrived my driver had to help me with my bags, I had emailed them beforehand and they didn’t respond (never received any sort of confirmation email), and they couldn’t accommodate a late check out even though I booked that room type. The room itself and bathroom is nice, but again overpriced. I’ve stayed at the four seasons in hk before - that property puts this to shame. This should not be a 5 star hotel as it is barely a hotel. It also took a long time to call and reach the front desk. TLDR huge gap in service, dated, and lack of amenities. Spend your money elsewhere (namely the four seasons for a few hundred extra dollars)

This is my home when I visit Hong Kong. I arrived with a personalized Welcome Back sign and treats in the room, I felt so spoiled! It is truly the best hotel in the world! The service, attention to detail, design, quality of food, etc. are all above and beyond my expectations every time. It's well worth every penny! They make traveling to another country where I don't speak the language extremely easy - everything is well thought out and they do not miss a beat!! I can't wait to come back here <3

The Upper House is an amazing and beautiful hotel, centrally located and close to shops, restaurant, MTR & bus terminal. I and my wife pleasantly surprised with the room upgraded to the Suite, our room overlooked the beautiful Victora Harbour. The room filled with a lot of soft drinks, snacks, an amenity bag and shopping bag. The room was quiet and cleaned, we felt like stay at Home! The check in staffs were friendly, polite, efficient and helpful. The hotel with the cool and art design, inside the room, lobby and almost any area around the building, no wonder your hotel got so many rewards, it is definitely a charm attraction. My only comment was that we wished the hotel restaurant, Salisterra would provide Asian /Chinese dinner. Because of that we picked the English afternoon set Tea, not the dinner. The breakfast had the choice of Chinese Dim Sum set menu was yummy and with a great quality food, we loved it! Overall, I and my wife enjoyed and loved our stay, this time was very special to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary, we had a great and memories time, we would love to go back and stay at your hotel in future, Thank you very much for the service.

The lobby was quite busy when we arrived, but we were immediately guided to the cafe area. The checkin process was seamless as we just provided our ID cards and credit card. Not before long, we were brought to our room. The staff gave a thorough briefing on the room amenities and we are impressed on the extensive offering on the complimentary mini bar. The room was spacious, offering both partial harbor and mountain views. While the design isn't the newest, all facilities were well maintained and in good condition. We opted to have breakfast on the 49th floor and the view is spectacular, as was the food. The Upper House feels luxurious and exclusive, with a perfect location which is still very convenient, just a short walk from the MTR station.
