Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet

From arrival managed by The Four Seasons Team on day 1 from Italy to managing the transfer from Istanbul to Cappadocia and return - all aspects were managed with care, concern and understanding by a very wonderful concierge team. From initial arrival that gave views over Sultanahemet from various angles to an absolute wondrous view of Hagia Sofia on our arrival “home” prior to our next adventure, thank you! Being a part of a great team is always a privilege and hospitality is so much more. I have come to regard the recognition of Les clefs d’or as a standard and any team considered is the “best of the best”… Lastly if I may just recognise one enthusiastic restaurant team member on behalf of my wife and I - Anil Yucepur - superb service. The team recommendation for a PRESTIGE KAVAKLIDERE 2022 was outstanding, unbelievable! My family looks forward to being looked after again very soon, thankyou!

Four Seasons never disappoints, and they certainly didn't disappoint here. Situated at the best possible spot in the heart of Istanbul, a short walk away from Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Topkapi palace, and a lot more, with comfy rooms, friendly and helpful staff, they made our short vacation one of the most pleasant family trips we ever had. The breakfast buffet is rich with both international and traditional Turkish delicacies, and starting our days with an outdoor breakfast in their garden, with a cup of Turkish coffee and a bite of a Turkish delight, was just perfect. If we ever come to Istanbul again, this is the place we will go to.

This stay for us did not begin well. Arriving fairly late and very tired, and being our first time to Istanbul, nothing was as expected. The staff reacted like the true experts they are in the art of hospitality. When young I stayed at many Four Seasons Hotels in the U.S. (in those days paid by my employer). Though my Four Seasons experience at those hotels was exemplary, I’ve never been treated anywhere with such courtesy, kindness, and helpfulness as we were at Four Seasons Sultanahmet in Istanbul. I know it’s their job, but these people are genuine. These are exactly the kind of people you want to be your friends or have the privilege to work with (alas, I am retired). Anyway, I was skeptical about the location at first and by the end of our stay am convinced it was the best location we could have wanted. The property is elegant and tasteful but not pretentious. It is managed to perfection. Their services are the best. There is also a wide variety of food selections and al we sampled were well done. What more can I say? If you can afford it, what are you waiting for??? If you can’t afford it, save up and go anyway because it is worth it.

We had the opportunity to stay overnight in Istanbul and decided on the Four Seasons sultanahmet. We were not disappointed. First the location, you are in the middle of the old city adjacent to the Haga Sophia and Blue Mosque. Their terrace has amazing views Haga Sophia( it was closed during the seasons but they opened it up just for us to see and take pictures). The rooms are spacious and provide authentic Turkish tea and pijamas providing a immersive experience. The staff were very attentive and polite. The courtyard restaurant had amazing local cuisine with live local music! Overall we would highly rate the FS sultanahmet as one of the best four seasons we have stayed.

Excellent place to stay in - heart of the historic district - all the must see sights are walking distance Food and staff are super friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The Spa is the best - Noor my therapist is probably the best I’ve ever had! My husband and I did a couples hamam here as well and loved it!
