About the Hotel

Originally designed by Moshe Safdie, winner of the AIA Gold Medal, the David Citadel's well-planned public spaces and 385 luxuriously appointed rooms and suites have recently received a facelift by renowned Italian designer Piero Lissoni who introduced the warm atmosphere of Jerusalem through natural lighting, traditional colors and rich artworks painted by David Roberts during his 1834 Grand Tour. Lissoni's vision included oak parquet flooring, abundant greenery, soft lights and textured fabrics in a palette of rich colors that welcome guests today.

We are many times in this hotel . Each time we are going to breakfast we meet Said . Said is number one in service. He works in David citadel since 1998 or 1997, about 27 years . I always glad to see him . He recognize me each time when I am coming , smile and glad to see me . Thank you Said!

The stay was lovely. Yardena Leichter was terrific and wonderful. Hamutal Dach’s was very helpful and helped to make our stay pleasant. Said in the dining room was terrific as always. Great Hotel, Great stay, looking forward to return Wonderful, relaxing, educational, and a great experience

First Class Hotel that makes you feel at home.
The Citadel is a true classic first class hotel. My family has been staying at the Citadel for years. We feel at home, especially since it is one of the few if only hotels in Jerusalem that has had the same staff for many years. It is so nice to walk into the dining room and the Maître d' and waiter give you a hug and welcome you back. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The front desk and concierge are very helpful. Best location in Jerusalem.

Wow we had the time of our life
Our stay at the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem was exceptional! The food is truly rare and of chef-restaurant quality — a real culinary experience. The service was outstanding, and the cleanliness is on another level. We've made it a tradition to return every year with the family. Highly recommended!

הגענו לסופש משפחתי,נהננו מאוד ארוחת בוקר מדהימה. האוכל ,שירות ורמת החדרים היו ברמה הגבוה ביותר בילינו זמן רב בבריכה שהיתה מחוממת ונעימה ,ואהבנו את המנות מסעדת הגריל שבמתחם הבריכה. בילינו זמן רב במשחקיה מהממת שבמלון לא היה חסר דבר, ממליצה בחום וכמובן שנחזור בעתיד
