This hotel has been restored and maintained so beautifully, while still being able to enjoy the historical charm. The lobby is spacious, the standard king room was small, but the high ceilings make it still feel roomy. Beautiful clean bathroom, comfortable bed. There was some noise from the street below, but that's no fault of the hotel -- just part of being downtown. We brought a white noise machine and that was just fine. The second time we stayed there we were upgraded to a corner king room and that was incredible! So large and beautiful!! It was on the 13th floor which used to be the floor with a pool, and the original small tiles were on the wall. Very cool! The staff were very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. We loved the location and were able to walk or take the free shuttle on Main Street to wherever we needed to go, so we didn't have to re-park our car. I would absolutely stay there again!!

Excellent hotel with professional and competent staff. The building is very well maintained and my suite was reasonably spacious and had all the amenities I needed. I am glad I made the choice to stay here. The location is great as well, smack in the middle of some excellent bars and restaurants.

First the positive: The hotel has undergone a renovation, and it shows. The hotel is beautiful. Our room was very nice, spacious with modern touches. We arrived just after 8:30 PM Friday night, and at arrival, Devonte (?) at the front desk greeted us and was very helpful. When we checked out on Sunday morning, the valets were quick and assisted us. However that’s it. Housekeeping was a joke. We spent most of the morning and afternoon of Saturday away from the hotel. When returned to our room around 4:30, our room was still not ready. Housekeeping knocked at our door shortly thereafter and asked if we needed service (I guess you have to ask?). I pointed out that no one had been to our room. In reply, I was told “I was here, but had something else to do.” Obviously, she had been in, took our tip and left. Rudely, she left clean towels and left. The valet service needs a makeover. I called down Saturday morning, and it still took 20 minutes for our car (which I could see parked from our window) to arrive. That and the fact that it is a pain to even access the valet service (do to limited space), creates a situation that can be solved by staying elsewhere. Finally, none of the other staff we encounter could help, didn’t know or seemed not to be concerned. Disappointing.

Wonderful stay! We were there to celebrate our anniversary which we mentioned ahead of time and there was a small treat and card in our room. The location was convenient, valet service for our vehicle was quick and easy, and the staff were all super friendly. We can't wait to come back!

Lovely historic hotel. Modern upgrades. Large TV. All the amenities you could need. Great views from the upper level. Conference rooms were nice and comfortable. All the staff was friendly and accommodating. The only thing that sucked was Ice machines located on the even floors above 8. I am an ice fanatic... I didn't like having to travel from my floor to another floor to get ice. Request an even floor if you need ice frequently.
