Banyan Tree Samui

Banyan Tree Samui is the perfect resort for a relaxing holiday. The villas are spread over a large area; we enjoyed walking to the beach/ restaurants and we never had any trouble finding a buggy to drive us when we wanted to. Our villa (C01) was very comfortable, felt private, surrounded by lush vegetation. Our private pool was refreshing and good size. The resorts’ private beach is a big advantage. It is beautiful, located in a private bay (with no other hotels/ resorts in sight), it is clean and quiet. The sand is not soft; however, you can get snorkeling shoes from the water sports center located on the beach. Our villa host was very attentive and provided excellent service, as all the staff we met during our stay. I warmly recommend this resort for a wonderful holiday in Koh Samui.

I researched the Banyan Tree because we were spending a lot of money for our annual holiday and everyone seems to really like this hotel. There are a lot of nice features but for me not a 5 star experience. Our room was nice but the outdoor sun beds and bean bags were very damp and musty, I would not sit on them. The restaurants that we paid for were nice enough, but we visited a hotel which we had to get a taxi too and the food was much nicer. For me it was the breakfast that I did not like at all, the choice is very wide with lots to choose from, however we had to wait for our table to be cleaned and to me it had the feel of a motorway service canteen. So much hustle and bustle it was not a peaceful experience, which I usually really enjoy on holiday because at home we are always rushing with just coffee and toast then to work, so I usually look forward to my holiday breakfast. Also there was a large family with small children and the child was running around the restaurant area in just a nappy, then even the nappy was removed. You help yourself to juice and sparkling wine and the wait staff bring coffee, tea and water we asked the waiter "Bestie" for a water and my husband asked if he could also have another juice while he was fetching my water, he was told no, you get your own. Which is fine however the juice was right next to the water that he was bringing to our table anyway. There are a lot of nice things about this hotel, but I would not return due to the reasons listed above.

I had an amazing snorkeling experience during my stay at Banyan Tree Samui, and Nook, our instructor, made it unforgettable. His guidance was clear and patient, ensuring that everyone felt comfortable and safe in the water. Nook took the time to explain everything in detail, making the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. His friendly and professional demeanor truly enhanced the adventure. I highly recommend Nook for anyone looking to explore the underwater world!

We stayed in a Family Ocean Pool Villa, which was absolutely stunning. The location is ideal for those wanting a peaceful getaway. Every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay special.It’s the perfect destination for everyone indeed.

We loved our stay at the Banyan Tree Samui! This is a great option for families in Koh Samui - you feel secluded but with plenty to do for a 2-3 night stay without even having to leave the resort (if you'd like). They also offer plenty of options to explore the island and surrounding areas by boat or taxi/car. The breakfast - wow! We loved it, and they catered to all diets and accommodated for allergies/restrictions, too. The staff were all very kind, and we loved the options to snorkel, paddleboard, or kayak with complimentary equipment. Their restaurants are great, and we especially loved Saffron! A wonderful stay and would highly recommend for couples or families.
