Villa d'Este

Truly the most beautiful hotel out of any of the hotels I have stayed at, and I have been to quite a few of the best. I'm middle aged and don't go away that much so when I do, I expect under stated elegance, service and a memorable experience and Villa D'Este didn't disappoint !! Huge thanks to Miriam on the front desk for her help, but all the staff there are welcoming, helpful, kind and patient. Whether your turn up with a Hermes Birkin or a £100 Longchamp - they just don't care and treat everywhere with the same respect. The gardens are spotless, and quite beautiful and of course there are stunning lake views. The lobby and the communal areas look like something out of a magazine, and the decor is splendid. The rooms ooze style and class and we had the best night sleep (on a hard bed) The food is second to none, in every area, terrace, restaurant or bar - even room service which can often go wrong in big hotels with cold food. Not there! Everything was perfect. One tip: Get up early and snatch a breakfast table by the window if you can. HIGHLY recommended as you may have gathered - I would love to stay there again, and it's def worth saving up for.

Bar none, this was the best hotel experience we have ever had. We were a bit anxious when the weather forecast for our trip to Lake Como showed a week of rain. Luckily, the eternal sunshine created by the staff of the Villa D'Este made our dampened week thoroughly enjoyable. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and valued. Every person we interacted with - the concierges, restaurant and bar staff, even the housekeepers - was overwhelmingly pleasant and went out of their way to ensure we had the best possible stay. The concierge staff was incredibly helpful and patient in booking - and re-booking - reservations and excursions as we worked around unpredictable weather. The restaurant and bar staff were also fantastic. We weren't able to enjoy the pool or wonderful outdoor spaces of the property very much, but we are looking forward to a return trip - hopefully with better weather, but assured we would have a wonderful time regardless.

Un hotel clamoroso! Location affascinante, romantico e pieno di charme. Passeggiare fra i suoi giardini e a bordo lago non ha prezzo. Trasuda stile e storia. Servizi eccezionali e personale straordinario. Cucina raffinata e contemporanea. Una vera coccola per l’anima.

Che dire, forse tra i posti più belli ed eleganti che abbiamo in Lombardia. Un fascino unico, ottimo sia in coppia che in famiglia, anche solo per un pranzo a bordo lago. Chiaramente soggiornare presso l hotel e risvegliarsi in questo contesto vista lago non ha prezzo.

Our rooms were thoughtfully decorated, perfectly blending classic elegance with modern comfort, and housekeeping impressed us with their attentiveness, even tailoring turndown times to our schedule. The concierge provided excellent restaurant recommendations, and the flexibility of the kitchen to prepare special dishes for breakfast was greatly appreciated. They even went out of their way to spoil our dog with special treats, a testament to their outstanding hospitality. Villa d’Este delivers a flawless five-star luxury experience and is a perfect retreat for families seeking an exquisite getaway on Lake Como. Highly recommended!
