Reviews for The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

Lavish casino

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Visited the cosmopolitan for a little explore and gamble. It’s a nice casino that’s very lavish inside and has massive chandeliers. We had a few bets and lost a few dollars, but struggled to get a drink from the waitresses when we were playing.

It’s just kinda crap

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Everything about this stay was just kind of annoying. We checked into the room and found several dirty items, including a microfiber cloth, a beer can a sock and a used tissue as well. We enjoyed several globs of hair found in the shower which were never clean the entire time we were there. I left everything as it was for four nights and housekeeping never addressed any of these while we were there. The whole resort feels a bit rundown and tired. It’s hard to believe this is a five star property like the Wynn, Venetian etc. If I had paid $450+ a night instead of being on comps from MGM I’d have been quite unhappy. Another thing, after about 18? Months of MGM ownership, they still haven’t integrated with MGMs systems. No app keys, no app folio, and several run arounds to get my comps applied to meals. Also didn’t load freeplay and it was a whole todo to get it done. Overall, just a disappointing stay with no real reason to return with so many other nicer options in Vegas.

Worth it

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Went to the Cosmo for the 8th time. Always a queen fountain view room in the Chelsea tower. This time we were on the 52 floor. The casino was good and I won a jackpot $2472.06 wow plus some other note able wins. Of course we spent the all. LOL. We went to Carbone for dinner it is in the Aria hotel. Owned by MGM so I used my $200 food credit on the $451.00 bill. Worth it!!!!! We did the VR adventure at the LINQ and the Flyover adventure done the strip across from the Park MGM. Good time at the pool food and drinks $$$ Overall another great time was had by all.

Terrible check in, nice resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Check in was a disaster. We arrived early and there was only a room available on the 20th floor. The check in agent promised us a “high floor” room if we were willing to wait. No problem. After an hour, we got a text that our room on the 22nd floor is ready. We checked out the room. It reeked of weed, was noisy and was not “high floor” as promised. Btw, we stayed five nights with an average room rate of $400/night. Back to front desk. The rude employee rolled her eyes when we asked for a room change, was making a fake phone call and said that we cannot get another room because the complete hotel is booked. Haha! We went to another front desk agent and wanted to cancel our reservation. Suddenly, a room on the 41st floor became available. The room was semi-clean, there was residue in the whirlpool tub and powder stains in the shower and towels were missing in the second smaller bathroom. But at this point we didn’t care anymore. Restaurants: Amaya was a big rip off, loud, cocktails not good at all, and the surf and turfs burrito consisted 90% of Spanish rice. After this experience, we didn’t visit the other restaurants, only had takeout at Block 16. The resort itself is nice and it’s worth it just to walk around on the different floors and discover cool stuff.

Very nice hotel/conference center!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

This was my first time staying at the Cosmopolitan. I had business meetings in the convention center, and it was very convenient to simply get off the elevator and be right at the meeting rooms and eating room rooms. There were many stores and restaurants within the complex and a casino. The pool areas were nice, but drinks there were pricy! No coffee makers in the room was my only complaint…but plenty of coffee options within the hotel! The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the HVAC worked great. I was lucky enough to have a great view from floor 44 of the Bellagio Fountains. Great location right in the middle of the strip!
