Reviews for The Signature at MGM Grand

Room was worth maybe $30 a night - not worth anything more.

Despite holding Platinum Elite status with Marriott, I was informed that there was no way to attach my status to my reservation or link it to MGM Rewards. The signage indicated benefits for Platinum Elite members, yet I had to manually provide proof through the Marriott mobile app. Additionally, I asked multiple front desk staff how to link my status, and each provided inconsistent information. Some claimed linking was impossible, while others directed me to the MGM Rewards center—where I was again told it was not possible. This lack of internal knowledge and clarity resulted in a frustrating experience. Furthermore, I booked my stay through the Microsoft conference rate and included my Marriott Rewards number in the reservation. However, upon checking with the front desk, I was told that the only way to earn Marriott points was to book directly through Marriott—meaning I would not receive any points for this stay. When I inquired about earning MGM Rewards points instead, I received conflicting answers from different staff members, some stating I would earn points and others saying I would not because it was a conference rate. The lack of a clear policy and consistent staff knowledge was disappointing. Now, several days after I have checked out, I did receive a notification from Marriott that I did in fact earn 4 nights and points - so apparently me adding my Marriott Rewards to the conference booking did work - but the staff at MGM should know how all this works. Additionally, I had an unpleasant interaction with a front desk employee—an elderly woman with blonde hair—who was incredibly rude. Her dismissive and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable for a customer-facing role, and it negatively impacted my experience. She was horribly rude and was nasty at the onset of the conversation. The room was a one-bedroom condo, which the size of the room was nice, however, the furnishings and mattress were cheap and uncomfortable. It was probably the worst mattress I have ever slept on. It is definitely NOT worth $200 or more per night - and the $50 resort fee is a total joke - who uses public WiFi? I do not - at best this room and experience was worth maybe $30 a night - nothing more.

Disappointed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

One room was not ready on time. One room was not cleaned thoroughly. I paid for upper floors and was disappointed to find that one of the rooms shared the balcony. I had stayed before and never had a shared balcony. I did not like people being able to look in my windows on the 35th floor. I also incurred unauthorized charges on my bill.

Great stay

Staff was great. Room was nice and clean. Had a great view of the city. We were in tower 3 which was quite a far walk from the main casino and pool and everything. If I stayed again. I'd try to stay in tower 1. Pool was nice. Staff was friendly. good times!

Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Our stay at The Signature at MGM was extremely underwhelming and not at all reflective of what you’d expect from a major Vegas property, especially for the price. The front desk was severely understaffed, unhelpful, and unwelcoming. On top of that, the staff we encountered didn’t seem trained to assist guests properly and often gave incorrect or vague information. There was a complete lack of proper customer service throughout our stay, with the exception of the housekeeping staff, who were the only ones that showed professionalism and kindness. Tower 1, where we stayed, is clearly in need of renovation. The entire space felt dated and worn down. Room accommodations were lacking—bedding was uncomfortable, the towels were old and scratchy, and the kitchen area wasn’t stocked with basic items like plates or glasses unless you specifically requested them. There’s also no room service at all, which is surprising for a property in this price range. The hotel is inconveniently located if you plan to walk to nearby attractions—it’s tucked away and not easy to get in and out of on foot. We also toured a Penthouse Suite during our visit, and it was underwhelming—it’s really just a larger version of the regular suite, with outdated furnishings and no real upgrades to justify the premium cost. While the hotel is part of the Marriott Bonvoy program, that partnership seems to be in name only. They refused to acknowledge our Bonvoy status, and no benefits were honored. But beyond the Marriott issues, the overall quality and service at this property are far below standard. Bottom line: For the money, you can absolutely find better service, better rooms, and a better location elsewhere in Las Vegas. We do not recommend The Signature and won’t be returning.

Signature Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The bed was uncomfortable, it was old, I recommend upgrading. I also think that the pillows could be upgraded. The hotel is starting to show signs of its age, possibly renovations to give it a refresh. It was approximately 10 years ago when I last stayed at the Signature so obvious changes were noticed. I was also looking forward to purchasing another bathrobe but they were available any longer, which was disappointing. Everything else was great though, but wow I must say the costs of just a bottle of water in the room was shocking.

We just had the pleasure of staying in a lovely suite at the MGM Grand. It was a joy to be able to enjoy the action on the strip and come back to the hotel for peace and comfort - we loved the jacuzzi tub and plush bed. I will most likely only stay here when I return to Vegas!
