Vdara Hotel and Spa appeals to guests who love the energy and excitement of Las Vegas, but choose to enjoy it from an exclusive environment. It is an intimate and exclusive experience unlike anything else on the Las Vegas strip.

Warning - to any Bonvoy members this should not be a Bonvoy property. I am here for business - not my choice but so be it. If you do happen to stay here, do NOT utilize the mobile app. I errored big time and checked in via mobile app. I have been here since 0900. When I arrived I asked at front desk if there was possibility to get into a room early. I was willing to pay up to $200 (done this before in Vegas). The individual at the front desk said 'you mobile check in, you wait for text, you wait for text'. After twice repeating my request and her repeating the same, I walked away. I've been able to get work done in the lobby, but it is now 4:00 p.m. and the app still says 'preparing your room'. All of this may be been reasonably expected, except that there's been a steady stream of people checking in ALL DAY. Had I not done mobile check in, there's chance I'd have been in a room long ago. Do not use the app and if you have choice and are a Bonvoy member, go elsewhere.

It was odd the invited guest wasn't there as directed on site for luxury suite. It was further odd the front desk guy with dark blonde bob decided to ignore is (he did this twice and immediately suggested the next person after me though we never spoke), I don't understand that. Further, had to request kitchenware and given dishwasher liquid. There was a full kitchen and washer and dryer. We had to specify exactly the utensils, spoon, fork, plates, bowls directly over phone because they ask to do so. The forks, spoons and knife came in a plastic packet you would get for take-out. Nothing for washer or dryer. Guess had to ask for that too but assumed as it's a fixture. My mistake for expecting. There where two burned holes in the carpet, very noticeable. The lights on the stairwell didn't work. The bathrooms (upsatirs and downstairs) rattles loudly, but cant hear if you close the doors. Just FYI, there's $350 each day for incidentals (for luxury suites). The pool closes at 5pm and dust/fingerprints throughout. With all of that the upsatirs bed/pillows was nice. The view downstairs was cool and though rattles, the 1.5 bathroom comes in handy. Oh, they say housekeeping won't come for three days to "green house" but had someone knock then open the door on day one. With all this, it was nice to have the space but upkeep of room/amenities are definitely needed.

The Vdara has always been my go-to hotel when I have to come to Vegas for a work conference in the Aria. Non-smoking and no casino - a very pleasant hotel. But this time — without my knowing in advance — they charged $18 for using 2 in-room coffee pods! This isn’t even good coffee but I have never paid for in-room hotel coffee — and I am a frequent traveler. This really irritates me and has left a bad impression at the end of an otherwise nice stay.

This is our 3rd time at the Vdara. We went during Wrestlemania Week to watch our son. Prices were ridiculously high. I'm an MGM Rewards member, and they offered a paltry 15% discount, instead of the usual 30%. We have received "free upgrades" in the past, but this time no such luck. I explained we needed a FULL refrigerator, as we were staying a full week and wanted to cook most of our meals. All in all, this week added up to $1,900!!! Ridiculous for what we received. I like the Vdara for its location, smoke free property, no casino. It has very little as far as food choices, small workout area, small pool area, but we could use the Aria if we chose to. I asked at the desk to put us away from ice machines, elevators and traffic noise. I was only 2 rooms AWAY from the elevator, so I heard it all night long, as well as the traffic noise. Furniture in the living room was very beatup, stained, dirty, dinged up. Dust on horizontal surfaces, garbage disposal was broken. Shower handle was loose and jiggly. When I asked for cooking utensils and dishes, she brought up one boiler pot, one frying pan (was NOT nonstick), a spatula, 2 forks, 2 spoons, 2 knives, 2 plates and 2 bowls. My requests for clean towels were answered quickly. If this had cost half the amount, I may not have been so picky, but for a "5 Star hotel" and for the amount I paid, it was not worth it. Will look elsewhere for our next trip.

Nice hotel. We upgraded to a corner suite and it was fantastic. A lot of space and 2 bathrooms. Decent view. Only a couple minor things to mention- if you are going to have a kitchen, then please stock it without having to ask for items. I assume the reason is theft. Our room had laundry but it took 3 phone calls and several Hours to get the free supplies to be able to do laundry- we were hiking so this option of doing laundry was great in the room. But again if you offer this then the supplies should be easily accessible. Our room was clean and loved that there is NO smoking! No casino was also enjoyable and quieter. Easy access to get around the hotel and to other casinos without going outside if you choose. Pool area isnt huge but it was nice and the waitress we had was polite and checked on us numerous times. Music wasn’t too loud or distracting. Hotel did seem busy but not overwhelming. There was only one worker that we ran across that was not as friendly/welcoming at check in but I got back in line and went to a different person who was much more helpful and informative! Would stay again.
