The pair of red brick townhouses that make up The Egerton House Hotel stands on 17th Century land that the alderman of London entrusted to slaves being held by Turkish pirates. A string of colorful characters inhabited the mansions through the decades, and remnants of history remain in each uniquely decorated room. Elaborate padded headboards, brocaded fabrics and original antiques combine to create an ambiance that is both stately and welcoming.

The Egerton house continues to be one of our fondest memories of our trip to London. Our family travelled here for the London Marathon and the entire staff is so caring, thoughtful, professional, and gracious during our time there. They kindly made my daughter a birthday cake and card for her very 1st birthday, and they surprised us with a beautifully arranged fruit platter and certificate after I ran the London Marathon. Their attention to detail is spectacular and it made our stay in London (and my daughter’s 1st birthday) such a special one!!! Each member of the staff took time to get to know us and our preferences to make it as tailored an experience as possible. In particular, both Benjamin and Mark made us feel so comfortable and welcome with their wonderful hospitality. We hope to stay here again next visit. It is the perfect location by museums and wonderful restaurants.

I was treating my daughter to a night in London as part of a very special occasion and chose the Egerton House and I can say I was absolutely blown away by how much of a beautiful gem of a hotel this is. From the moment we stepped through the door it was an oasis of calm with incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. A huge huge thank you to Rosie for going above and beyond on every little detail. Especially the card and macaroons personalised for the occasion. The room was beautiful, 42, with a lovely view and so peaceful. If it’s a friendly, welcoming, oasis of calm I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel enough - it’s stunning. Thank you to everyone there - I now have my favourite hotel in London.

Amazing boutique hotel in the heart of Knightsbridge. We were recognised by staff having stayed at Hotel 41 in the past, a red carnation property, lovely personal welcome which made us feel very special. We were upgraded to a lovely room, clean and all that we required for a night in London. We went to a hotel recommended restaurant nearby and it was lovely. Breakfast was just perfect and the small bar on the ground floor was super cosy and had a great vibe with local residents popping in for a drink. The staff are professional, kind and so friendly, they are really welcoming and you just feel like they want to make you comfortable and ensure you have the best time. We would love for another celebration in London, with a show and dinner. It's the perfect treat.

The Egerton House is a beautiful boutique hotel located on a quiet street in London, and walking distance to the metro and numerous sites. Every person we encountered from the concierge, bar staff, chef, dining room, and housekeeping we EXCELLENT! We would definitely stay at Egerton again!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel as part of my 60th birthday celebrations and were certainly not disappointed. The hotel is well located on a quiet street just a 10 minute stroll from Harrods and close to many of the key museums and the Royal Albert Hall. It is also close to the Royal Parks, which with the weather we were lucky enough to experience, was perfect for us during our 3 night stay. Our accommodation was spacious and delightfully decorated. Bedding was excellent and standard of cleanliness superb. We did have drinks in the bar on a couple of evenings and the cocktails are very good - the Egerton Martini is a true experience ! The little personalised touches in the room were so thoughtful and kind. Above all, the staff are just fantastic. We truly felt welcomed and certainly at home in the hotel. Those that we had contact with - Jacques, Benjamin, Mark, Roxanne and the gents on cocktail duty were exceptional. Those we did not meet - those behind the scenes - are also clearly doing a wonderful job. It is clear the hotel group places huge emphasis on recruiting and training top class individuals. We would love to return when next in London.
