Firstly we did not receive the customary "thank you for your loyalty" greeting when checking in. On arriving at our room we were a bit disappointed to find we had been assigned a smaller room than we've had in our previous 5 stays. It was no big deal as it was very quiet and the bed super comfortable. However, we quickly realised that none of the electronic functions worked on our TOTO washlet toilet. This may not be an issue to some but it's always been a highlight of our stays here. We reported it to housekeeping initially but strangely, the person on the other end of the telephone had absolutely no idea what we were talking about so we reported to reception on our way out. After returning a few hours later, the toilet hadn't been fixed and there was no note to advise if anyone had looked at it. We therefore contacted guest services via email as we were quite disappointed that nothing had been done. They advised that it had indeed been checked and a replacement part was required, which wouldn't arrive until after our stay. They claimed to have reached out to us several times but this was definitely not the case. There was no offer to move us to another room or compensate us in any shape or form, which one would expect from a 5 star hotel. You advertise this amenity for all rooms on your website so if something is unavailable we should have been advised at check in. Surely housekeeping should be performing checks on the operation of things in the room, as part of their daily tasks? This had clearly not just stopped working that day. We wouldn't have minded had we been allocated a room on arriving mid morning but we had to wait until afternoon for room 526 which was tiny and faulty. We paid £80 for a mediocre breakfast buffet on our last morning. The quality of service from the staff seems to have gone significantly downhill compared to our previous stays. Our stay was nice enough but having been previously top of our list of London hotels, we would definitely think twice about staying here again.

We wanted to stay centrally located and close to historical and cultural sites for a 5 night stay. The Great Scotland Yard met or exceeded all expectations! We walked, Ubered, Tubed, and trained everywhere we wanted to go with ease close to the front door. Our room was larger than expected. The staff were cordial, helpful, and always interested in chatting about our visit and our stay. For our trip, it met the mark!

The hotel was clean and overall very satisfying. The location was especially excellent. However, the breakfast was a bit disappointing compared to our expectations. We stayed for three nights, and on one of the days, our room wasn’t cleaned. We returned to the room after 5 PM, and the housekeeping staff came after that. Since we were very tired, we asked them not to clean the room, but unfortunately, we couldn’t get fresh towels or amenities. Other than that, everything else was truly excellent.

Great Scotland yard Hotel in London was great! it was located within walking distance to many sights in London and also 3 blocks from Underground train system. Staff was helpful in recommending things to do, places to visit, how to get around city, etc. The beds were so comfortable.

Top notch service & experience. I hope you don’t read this, so I can always find a room! :) Their water bottle’s are officially my favorite now. This was our first time visiting in London and the hotel, staff, location, and overall experience was incredible. Thanks from your fellow Americans!
