We moved from Claridge’s to The Langham. Claridge’s always gets all the press, but The Langham was far superior in almost every way, perhaps one of the best hotels we’ve ever experienced. We did stay in a Club room which gave us access to amazing breakfasts (caviar!), afternoon tea, and cocktails and snacks).). We also were able to check in the club while sipping a glass of Taittinger. Lina was amazing and her smiling face made our stay even more memorable. Our room was gorgeous with an old world feel - not the brown and cream minimalism of so many hotels these days. There were so many little touches that elevated the entire experience - books in the bookshelves, a gorgeous bar with cut glass stemware, extensive coffee/tea setup, outlets for both British and US plugs, fresh flowers, and some exquisite smell. The bathroom was spectacular, floor to ceiling marble with a huge soaking tub. And special kudos to the housekeeping staff. Our room was being cleaned within 5 minutes of us removing the Do Not Disturb sign. And she did the best job! All of our toiletries were beautifully arranged, and she even folded our clothes! Totally unnecessary, but goes to show the attention to detail. She noticed that I enjoyed baths so the next day I returned to find a bath tray replete with special salts, loofas, and all sorts of fun treats. And at night we’d return to a romantic setting of classical music and mood lighting. The gym, spa, and pool areas were lovely, and The Wigmore Pub and Artisan Bar are hugely popular with both guests and locals which creates a very festive atmosphere. We can’t wait to return to this little oasis of elegance and civility in the heart of London.

We have been visiting the Langham now for several years. This special hotel is in a great location, and is beautifully traditional inside. The rooms and suites are always immaculate and the Palm Court is a lovely restaurant, particularly for afternoon tea. We are lucky enough to stay in rooms that have the added benefit of the club lounge, which is super special. What makes the hotel truly special is the friendliness of the staff. In the club lounge particularly, where Adel and Ashley ensure every guest is made to feel that nothing is too much trouble. Under their guidance, the team really go the extra mile to make a perfect stay. We now feel that this hotel is a home from and won’t stay anywhere else in london. From the friendly guys on the door who always greet us like old friends, the attentive housekeeping staff, and particularly the wonderful team in the club lounge, each and every one has a part to play in this wonderful hotel. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so wonderful, we look forward to returning very soon.

We have visited the hotel numerous times and book an executive room with club lounge access. Sadly just a week before our stay we were advised that the normal lounge would be closed and would be temporarily located in the old Landau restaurant. We missed the feel of the usual lounge but the staff were superb in making the best of the temporary location. As usual the bed and bedding was so luxurious and the breakfasts were fabulous. Really looking forward to our next stay. Richard & Mary

Our stay was excellent. We had a lovely corner room. We received a complimentary bottle of wine and cake as it was my husband's 60th birthday. The level of service was exemplary. All staff were friendly and could not do enough for guests. The hotel smells and looks amazing. 2 small issues - the position of the mirror with the only socket near a mirror made drying my hair awkward and the fridge was quite noisy but my husband turned it off overnight.

Our server, Allam, was OUTSTANDING! We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea. The food was delicious and the ambience wonderful! It is the first venue where afternoon tea was served to non royals in 1865! It’s a great place to experience this British tradition
