About the Hotel
The Rubens at the Palace is the closest you'll get to a sleepover with the Queen without a state visit invitation. The hotel is directly across from the royal residence on property that enjoys a colorful past – the Duke of Buckingham lived here in the 1600s, followed by an apothecary and a Court dressmaker. The Rubens, which was built in 1912, housed the Polish army during WWII and gave respite to exiled Charles de Gaulle. The hotel's decadent – and often equally colorful – rooms and suites are a comfortable home base in the epicenter of London.

DO NOT BOOK
DO NOT BOOK this hotel, the doormans are burglars, they steal your belongins, and all the staff is colluded with them. This incident was reported to the police. It could be the perfect location, but the security inside the hotel is extremely poor. The price is extremely high, and it's not worth the suffering after getting the passport stolen.

Happy at the Rubens
The Rubens gets 5 stars! Top notch staff from Pascal's welcome greeting to Joe assisting us at the front desk to Taylor, the concierge, helping us book tickets to the theater and Hop On Bus. Everyone was always so helpful with all our needs. Breakfast was included with our rooms, such fantastic menu choices, very delicious. The Rubens is in an ideal location, walk 10 minutes to Buckingham Palace. I will be staying here when I return to London.

Ideal Honeymoon Hotel
My husband and I landed in The Ruben’s three days after our wedding and it was the perfect London hotel for the occasion. We were so well looked after by the staff and the hotel provided some lovely touches to mark the occasion and make it special. Definitely the best hotel we’ve stayed in and we’ll certainly be back.

Give this hotel a MEDAL
From start to finish our three night stay was first class. From the moment we were greeted by the friendly doorman to checking out we enjoyed friendly, attentive and excellent service from all the staff. Added to this a comfy bed, delicious food and an excellent location - it made our special London marathon weekend visit even more memorable. The finishing touch was my husband being clapped back in to the hotel by the staff after his run and being presented with another medal. A truly amazing experience.

Fabulous Stay
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary with a champagne afternoon tea which was delicious- an extra bonus was the upgrade for £25 to bottomless champagne.... The room was delightful, breakfast delicious and the location was fabulous. Staff were so friendly including the doorman. The bar also had a great singer which rounded the evening off nicely. Definitely an special hotel for a special occasion.

I just returned from an amazing 6 nights at The Rubens. My trip was for business and at the last minute, I had to bring my baby along. This worried me greatly, but thanks to the wonderful staff of the hotel, my week went off without a hitch. The staff couldn't have been any kinder, more helpful, or professional. From the moment we arrived, special attention was paid to the baby and any assistance I needed. There is no doubt that I will be returning to this hotel. It has won a special place in my heart.

Our package at the Rubens at the Palace let my mother and me live like a queen. From the flowers in the room, the beautiful suite, the daily high tea, the staff - everything was a deluxe vacation opportunity. My previous vacations to London pale in comparison to this experience.

I can't say enough about the amazing service at the hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful whenever we had questions or needed help. The concierge was wonderful and went out of his way to come check on us and see how our day our was turning out. It made us feel very welcome and almost like family! The room was very comfortable, the food in the bar was great, service was amazing. We'll stay here again!
