InterContinental Madrid

Wonderful service. Clean hotel. Great breakfast. Within about a mile or less of great shopping too. The front office staff was incredibly supportive. The rooms were spacious. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever seen at a restaurant with great selections of breads, drinks, eggs etc.

A very good 5-star hotel - although old (it has its advantages and disadvantages). Relative to the prices of 5-star hotels in Madrid, its price was still reasonable, it is a bit far from the center, but close to a metro station, so you can "tolerate" the matter. It has a very expensive bar and does not justify its prices at all (you will find much better restaurants outside for half the price). The room was spacious and there was also a nice balcony, which for me was the best thing in the room, the room itself is excellent (but you can see that it is old), the shower is reasonable, although you have to remember that the hotel is old and do not expect anything special, the service is excellent, and the staff is welcoming. Although I had an unpleasant incident with one of the staff - I understood that it was a one-off incident, and the hotel management did everything to clarify that there was a mistake. The breakfast is excellent, one of the best I have had in Europe, the hotel is very clean and the room service is also excellent.

My only problem is IHG because I have 141,000 points. I’m never able to use them only a small amount of rooms allocated to be used against points. I couldn’t even use them against a €40 meal I had at the hotel there is always an obstacle. It could be quite simple shame on IHG BUT the hotel stay for three nights was excellent. The room was quiet as requested. Always clean tidy breakfast very good and the staff from the dining room to Reception were excellent. The staff could not have been more helpful. Thank you all at the Intercontinental. I hope to return

It's always a pleasure coming back to this amazing hotel. The amazing service and the perfect team nenberes who are always there to help and make your stay as perfect as possible. This time we had the pleasure of meeting the club lounge staff - the amazing Deyanira Rojas and the chef Juan Manuel who really did everything they can to accommodate our preferences and make our stay the best possible. Stayed here on our visit in Madrid this time! Location is perfect and the staff are awesome. Deyanira R. incredible and genuinely nice! When my husband mentioned he feels sick from the long-overnight travel, she immediately offered to make some ginger tea! Whenever we come for breakfast, she ensures we have a wonderful experience. We love Madrid, and we will be staying in this hotel again!
