Vacation stay
We were there doing the power outage. Hotel staff was excellent in helping us. We are a couple in our middle 70's. The staff wanted to help me to my room on the 2nd floor but I told them I could do it with the handrail. One followed to make sure I made it. They made us a ham and cheese sandwich for dinner. Other staff brought by water and chocolates instead of the usual turn down surface. We couldn't have asked for better service. Before the power outage we ate breakfast every morning in the restaurant. There was a great variety of items. We ate ice cream several nights in the lounge and even had a smash burger one night. We even stayed an extra night after flight cancelation. We would definitely stay again.

The Principal Madrid - Awesome
The Principal is an excellent hotel choice when visiting Madrid. Its staff is helpful and friendly, and the hotel is convenient to downtown venues, which are within walking distance. The rooms are nice and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful and charming!
Gorgeous and luxurious feel, right in the middle of Madrid. Highly recommend. The staff was wonderful and gave us a complimentary glass of wine of our choosing at check in. The beds were probably the most comfortable of our entire trip. Breakfast was excellent and worth the price, in my opinion. Tiny, sketchy elevators. You will be waiting a while with luggage. The bathroom was covered in this odd, reflective black material. So you were essentially watching yourself at all times, which we felt was odd. No real dealbreakers! We would absolutely stay again.

Friendly, professional staff. Well maintained facilities. Lovely outdoor terraces on 6th floor and the 7th floor rooftop with drink and food services. Excellent location within walking distance to many of top attractions. We’ll return.

Great hotel with great staff
Staying here as part of our honeymoon trip and the hotel has been brilliant throughout. The staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient, the room is spotless and well appointed, and the location could not be better with everything within a walkable distance. A few really nice touches by the front of house team as well to recognise our honeymoon trip which we have really appreciated. All in all we would definitely recommend and would choose to stay here again for sure.
