Carton House, A Fairmont Managed Hotel

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The decor the cleanliness the luxury the staff the grounds, this is what you call a real 5 star hotel. It is comfortable and classy and it is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I brought my boyfriend here for our anniversary and it was perfect. It is so romantic and you really do feel special staying here. If you have been thinking about coming here, definitely add it to the list, you won’t be disappointed.

Swimming pool was absolutely filthy and is a disgrace. The changing rooms weren't much better with heads missing off taps and showers constantly leaking leaving black stains down the tiles. The leisure centre is a million miles from 5 star barely 2 star at best.

Our second stay at Carton house, this time with our two year old. Could not fault the hotel or staff throughout our entire stay. A relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere even with a toddler to keep us busy. Lots of games and activities over easter and we all enjoyed the egg hunt. Very friendly staff and all great with kids.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Carton House. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. The highlight for us was the Sunday lunch at the Morrison Room—hands down the best dining experience I’ve had in years. The room itself is stunning, full of character and elegance, and the staff were so attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Every detail felt considered and special. The grounds are breathtaking, with so much to explore. We loved the red route walk so much that we got up early just to do it again before breakfast—it was the perfect way to start the day. Carton House is a rare mix of luxury, warmth, and nature, and we couldn’t recommend it more.

Un des plus beaux châteaux et hôtels où nous avons demeuré à ce jour, et pourtant nous en avons visité quelques-uns... L'endroit est magnifique, alliant histoire et modernité. Idéal pour décompresser et passer un bon moment en couple, en famille ou avec des amis. C'est un plus pour les golfeurs, mais pas que! L'hôtel est à 20mn de marge du village de Maynooth et à une vingtaine de kilomètres de Dublin (mais pas pratique pour visiter la capitale). Tout est magnifique, le service Fairmont et les avantages du Groupe Accor ALL en plus: personnel; le service; la déco; le parc; les chambres; les restaurants; l'histoire; la visite guidée; etc.; etc. Nous avons en plus bénéficié d'une météo splendide, que demander de plus. Bon rapport qualité/prix. Le Petit déjeuner est très bien, servi dans les anciennes cuisines du Manoir. Le restaurant gastronomique Morrison Room récemment récompensé d'une étoile Michelin est très bon avec un très bon rapport qualité/prix. Toutes l'équipe était aux petits soins, servis en français s'il vous plait. Le Chef très humble et très doué nous sert le plat principal en personne. Merci à toute l'équipe et surtout Jeanne. Le restaurant Carriage House est très bien aussi, avec une super déco dans l'ancien abri de carrosses de la Marquise. Des vélos à disposition gracieusement, mais premier arrivé, premier servi, donc pas toujours disponible. Et cerise sur le gâteau: Un grand merci à Mr. Brian Sutton, Chef de la conciergerie et féru d'histoire qui vous fait une visite guidée détaillée de tous les recoins du Manoir, y compris la chambre où à dormi la Reine Victoria, et l'ancienne chambre de la Marquise Maîtresse des lieux, convertie en une très belle suite visitée sous la haie d'honneur du personnel et du Directeur Général de l'hôtel! Je ne peux que recommander... Merci à tout le personnel!
