The Peabody Memphis is as well known for stupendous service and luxury living as it is for its marching ducks. The 13-story hotel and Memphis landmark opened in 1869 and has been a place of privilege ever since. Part of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, a member of the well-established Preferred Hotel Group, is located just two blocks from famed Beale Street and near the Peabody Place entertainment complex. Its collection of traditional rooms and suites, including pet-friendly accommodations, are elegantly appointed with rich hues and regal furnishings. Residents have a fondness for The Peabody, and the hotel's Memorabilia Museum documents its place in history through a series of displays.

My wife and I were allocated a room with single beds . Bathroom was outdated , very small and had to step over a curtained bath to shower. No kettle , no refrigerator and no breakfast, and this with a 400 dollars overnight stay.. Agree ducks and decor and shops in lobby were beautiful . But on mentioning our disappointment at check out , were answered with a smile and told have a nice day . Overall , a very disappointing experience.

The service in the restaurants tarnished an otherwise good experience. The wait times were unconscionable. The food was middling and the service could best be described as indifferent. The rooms were comfortable but given the cost of the hotel much better amenities are to be expected.

A classic, gracious, and beautiful hotel in the heart of Memphis. It is quiet and has wonderful amenities.

We had a noise throughout the night which due to the frequency and length kept us awake. I investigated it but could not find the cause. I even stood in the hallway thinking it might be the ice machine which was next door or the elevator which was down the hall. I recorded the sound on my phone. At 4.30am I gave up and rang reception to report the problem. We had no sleep and it was frustrating to say the least when we checked out at 7.00am (only because of the noise) to be offered 25 per cent off that night's stay and be charged valet parking for three nights even though we only stayed two. Not everyone will have this problem and I am sure others will find the hotel okay. For us it looked a little tired and relied upon the ducks too much. Even without the noise problem and given the very small room and even smaller bathroom we would not stay here again.

The Peabody Hotel, staff and ducks were amazing! The Duck Masters were SO entertaining. The history and accommodations went very well together. Raymond the concierge was outstanding in handling our spur of the moment need for a room. Velinda & Anna were excellent bartenders. The Avacado Toast breakfast in the 'steakhouse' was the best!
