Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Mexico City

This was another fantastic experience at this exceptional hotel. Service was absolutely perfect. Room was so comfortable. Minor tech issues but they were worked out. Room service was delicious and the snacks included are appreciated. I highly recommend this hotel and plan to stay again on my next trip to Mexico.

Las Alcobas is what every boutique luxury hotel should aspire to, but few do. My wife and I spent three nights in Mexico City at this lovely hotel in Polanco in late March, and I repeatedly said to myself, I love this hotel. First, the room we had on the third floor was spacious and well laid out. The bathroom was well-designed, and the closet space ample. The espresso machine was replenished each day. The WiFi was excellent. The fitness room — to be sure, not large — was just down the hall. We felt like we had a comfortable oasis in a city we have visited before, but never at a nicer hotel. But it is the service at which Las Alcobas excels. Mexicans are, in our experience, incredibly hospitable, but the staff at Las Alcobas were simply lovely — from the restaurant to the front desk, to the person who opened the door for us. One evening, we had arranged for a couple of friends to join us for a drink. As it turned out, they used this as the gathering point for a large group of friends and family, and suddenly we had about 12 people there for drinks. I worried we were overwhelming the fairly small bar area, but the staff could not have been more accommodating, seemingly delighted that there were people there having fun. I wish that all such small hotels were as nice as Las Alcobas. My wife and I can’t wait to return.

The service at this hotel is impeccable. Concierge group was top notch and went out of their way to help. The hotel ambiance is a bit lacking as the building is nothing special and the lobby quite small. The room was nice- even spacious but the bathroom had a dated small jet tub which took away from the famed “ bath service” they promote. Views on the whole were uninspiring. Excellent breakfast was included.

Words cannot express how impressed we were with the hotel. Not only was perfectly located for what we wanted, rooms very well appointed, but also by the staff, reception, concierge, doormen, restaurant staff, spa etc, who always went above and beyond to help us and make us feel comfortable and welcomed. Thank you everyone for a fantastic stay in Mexico City and looking forward to seeing you next year

I can't say enough how much we loved our stay. The hotel itself was luxurious in an understated way and the staff was absolutely fantastic. They were so helpful with every question and request. The property is on a very busy street (with many designer stores) but the windows but we had no problems with street noise in our 3rd floor room. We would stay here again in a minute. Plus, it's a Marriott property so we got the points.
