Ideally located in a central location, our hotel is surrounded by shops, restaurants, and bars. We are connected to the whole of downtown by the interior Minneapolis Skyway, covering 80 city blocks and including the Target Center, home of the professional basketball, which is just steps away in a climate-controlled walk away. Target Field is a five-minute walk, and The North Loop and U.S. Bank Stadium are only a mile away. Our spacious guest rooms and suites provide spectacular city views.

Unfortunately, my experience at the front desk was disappointing. The staff member who checked me in was rude and unwelcoming, which set a negative tone for my stay. Hospitality should start at the front desk, and this interaction fell far short of expectations. I hope the hotel addresses this, as it reflects poorly on the overall experience

The moment we walked into this beautiful, modern boutique hotel we knew we picked the right place for us. The entire staff was kind and welcoming and treated us like we'd been coming for years (even though it was our first time in Minneapolis). We ran into Jim at the elevator and he was so friendly, thoughtful and super helpful - he walked us to our room to make sure we got in okay and told us about all the fun things to do in the area. The hotel location was perfect. We were able to walk to the Skyway and all the wonderful amenities without even going outside. We walked 8 - 10 miles a day because there was so much to see, and the Lofton was the perfect location to start from. The light rail is just a block away, and made for super convenient travel to the U.S. Bank Stadium and the airport. The bed was insanely comfortable, and the hotel was super quiet. We were able to enjoy laying around late in bed just enjoying the room. We ordered room service the first night because we were tired from our 6-hour Amtrak ride, and the food from Cosmos was scrumptious and definitely hit the spot. We got a corner sweet, which we loved because we could hang out on the ledge by the window and stare at the lovely city view. We had delicious drinks in the bar one night, quite relaxing and enjoyable. We won't hesitate to stay at the Lofton again on our next trip to Minneapolis! Thanks to everyone for making our trip next level fun! P.S. If you're night owls like we are (even if you're not), there's conveniently an Insomnia Cookies right next door for the BEST warm cookies and milk!

I MADE A RESERVATION FOR A NIGHT AND NEEDED TO STAY AN EXTRA NIGHT FOR A MEDICAL AND BUSINESS APPOINTMENTS. SIMON WAS AT THE FRONT DESK AND INSTEAD OF EXTENDING MY RESERVATION HE MADE US PHYSICALLY CHANGE ROOMS AT 9 AM WHEN I EXPLAINED I HAD AN APPOINTMENT THEN. AND ALSO MADE A NEW RESERVATION WITH A HIGHER RATE, IT WAS THE WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER, HE WOULD NOT GIVE US AN UPGRADE WHEN IT WAS ABSOLUTELLY ADEQUATE. HE WAS NASTY, FULL OF HIMSELF AND HIM BEING FROM COLOMBIA AND ME FROM MEXICO MADE THINGS WORSE. HIS ENGLISH WAS AWFUL AND WAS NOT WILLING TO HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH NE. EVERYTHING I REQUESTED WAS A NO AND HE WAS NOT ACCONODATING OR WILLING TO TALK AT ALL. I WILL NEVER GO TO THAT HOTEL AGAIN AND I HAVE TOLD EVERYONE IN MY FIRM THAT TRAVERLS TO MINNEAPLOS NOT TO GO THERE. AWFUL COSTUMER SERVICE AND AN UTMOST RUDE SIMON ... BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU GO THERE, SIMON ALSO LIES ABOUT RATES AND LOCATIONS OF ROOMS. OUR ROOM FOR THE SECOND NIGHT WAS A HIGHER FLOOR, BUT FACED A BRICK WALL, NO VIEW, IT IS A SHAME TO HAVE AN EMPLOYEE THAT RUINS THE NICE TEAMWORK OF THE HOTEL JUST NASTY SIMON AND HIS ATTITUDE RUINED THE EXPERIENCE FOR ME!

This is a fairly average hotel. While some of the common areas are updated and nice (think 2010s), guest rooms are noticeably older. My room was large (a plus!) with much unused space. The bed was pretty comfortable. Wear and tear was evident: the faux leather on the office chair was flaking off; the door to the closet was stuck and the light in the closet was flickering and old; USB-A ports at the desk in lieu of USB-C. The bathroom was a fair size but the shower (with no tub) still had tub fixtures. It may be helpful for some guests, but I had not selected an accessible room, so it was just odd. Also, there’s a TV in the bathroom you can watch from the toilet! There were consistent water problems; it was somehow impossible to get cold water from the tap, and the shower would fully stop every minute or so. No reason. Maintenance was sent to fix both, but neither was repaired. During my stay the lobby and restaurant were completely dead. My digital key also just stopped working so that small advantage was also lost. A pretty subpar / meh property with a good location. There are better options.

The staff here are outstanding! I cannot express how pleasant, kind, and professional they have been after multiple stays here. The rooms are very clean, hotel connected to the skyway, amazing onsite restaurant. Highly recommend to all headed to MSP!
