Grand Hotel du Lac

This hotel met all of our expectations. The staff were attentive and not intrusive. The hotel is well placed and although backs onto a road once in the hotel it was not an issue, we were not disturbed. We stayed in a junior lake view suite and our room was spacious and very comfortable. The view was incredible, over the lakes and mountains. Breakfast was great and the waiting staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area too. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the meal was very good, there were also menu choices for a vegetarian. We would happily stay in the hotel again, and also visit Vevey. Getting to the hotel on the Train from the airport was easy and it was an easy 15 minutes walk from the station with our suitcases. Short walk into the town and excellent promenade to walk along both ways. Overall an excellent stay - thank you.

Quel bonheur, nous y étions venus, il y a plus de 60 ans, tout a changé, mais rien n’a changé …..accueil parfait ….beauté merveilleuse et gastronomie goûteuse à souhaits. Bref, pourquoi avons nous attendu autant de temps avant de revenir ici. Ne changez surtout rien…

Everything in the hotel is beautiful, from wallpaper, to floral arrangements in the lobby, to the cards they write a welcome note, to the dining room and bar. I just love the colors. We had a lake view room facing Lac Léman. The location is unbeatable. Unfortunately it was mostly raining, we would otherwise enjoy the terrace and the lake view. At check-in, they offered complimentary champagne. A very lovely touch and it tasted very nice. All the staff are very pleasant and courteous. Breakfast has very good selection of bread and pastries plus many. I love the Chinese green tea. We also had dinner at EMOTIONS. Everything from services, to presentation to taste is just perfect. It’s part of the Relais & Château. The little splurge on Swiss hospitality is just well worth every rappen.

Este hotel esta ubicado sobre el lago Lecman, lo que lo hace muy especial. Reservamos habitación frente al lago con una vista espectacular. El dormitorio de un tamaño cómodo con buen baño y una terraza hermosa con lugar cómodo para sentarse y relajarse viendo el lago. La ropa blanca toda de muy buen nivel y excelentes amenitties. El desayuno perfecto. Con manteles en sus mesas te sirven todo lo esperable de un hotel como este. Con un servicio excepcional. Nunca se olvidan de nada y están permanentemente levantando los platos que ya usamos y poniendo cubiertos nuevo. Un gran detalle. Hemos cenado tb y es muy lindo su restaurante. Comimos rico. Creo que le faltan dos cosas importantes para lo que es el hotel para ser perfecto. Un gimnasio y una piscina cerrada. Tiene un Spa pequeño, pero en invierno con la piscina de afuera cerrada, tener una piscina cubierta con buena temperatura me parece importante. El resto todo perfección. Nos encantó el hotel y esperemos volver. La zona es hermosa para recorrerla toda.

Certains hôtels ibis sont plus confortables, spacieux, calmes et plus sûrs. Cet hôtel ne correspond pas aux exigences d'une clientèle 5 étoiles du XXIe siècle. Ils ont tout misé sur la déco, comme une momie embellie avec du maquillage. Le service est lent, brouillon. Pas de concierges clés d'or comme ailleurs. Rien est grandiose.
