The Charles Hotel Munich

We had a great stay at this hotel. We were traveling as a couple so I wanted to find a hotel with a great location and a great room and the Charles Hotel really delivered. It’s quite large and located right in the center of Munich right across from a beautiful park. The entire staff that we encountered was extremely polite and very accommodating. The restaurant in the hotel was absolutely wonderful and we dined there for breakfast each morning for free. It was a great start to the day. We also ordered room service many times and every single time it was consistently very good. This hotel has many amenities such as a spa and meeting rooms and other things we did not utilize, but it’s great to know that they are there. Pricing is also fair in my opinion, there are a lot cheaper places around Munich, but this one really delivers. The only issue that we had is that the air conditioning in the night seemed to almost turn off, so it got quite warm in the room from midnight to 6 AM but still we had a great stay and I would happily stay here again next time I’m in Munich which I hope is pretty soon.

Brief and sweet: warm and fuzzy, homey atmosphere away from home! Excellent environment, excellent setting with renewed foyer, excellent service, excellent food. The Old Botanic Garden in front of the hotel creates a unique, tranquil oasis in the very center of Munich, unmatched by any other hotel in town.

Had a quick one night stay but The Charles left an impression! Small touches stood out as unique. Cold champagne bottles and chocolate covered strawberries sitting near the elevators Coffee Tea and snacks in the morning by the elevators The bellman who was waiting (unprompted) at the lobby elevators to grab our bags when we left at 7am The friendly check in associate who walked us up to the room (although not unique, this practice is happening less and less at upscale city hotels) These were some of the small things that are not happening anymore at many other comparable 5 star hotels Now to the standard stuff (sorry it’s short, we only were there 16 hours or so) Rooms - spacious, new, clean, well appointed with a powerful rain shower. Service - outstanding Gym/Spa - not enough time to use Restaurant - Breakfast included and looked excellent but did not have time Overall - next time in Munich, only staying here

It was a great experience to stay in the Charles Hotel. We were on a business trip to Munich and really anjoyed the Hotel. Everything from Check In to Check Out was very good. The personal were all extremly helpfull and we enjoyed the breakfast evry morning.

The hotel exceeded all my expectations—especially the level of service provided by each person in the hotel. It was everything you might expect from a well-managed enterprise. After this stay, I will be looking for opportunities to stay in other hotels from the same chain.
