Consider yourselves in good company when you check into the Taj Mahal Palace. With its fantasyscape of Moorish, Oriental and Florentine styles, this architectural marvel has welcomed Maharajas, kings and presidents since opening in 1903. Along with panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the Gateway of India, this spectacular Mumbai landmark boasts vaulted alabaster ceilings, onyx columns, hand-woven silk carpets and a magnificent art collection whose dazzling pieces range from Belgian chandeliers to Goan Christian artifacts.

Thank you for wonderful day at Taj Mahal Palace , a day spent which shall be etched in our memories. It was my wedding anniversary and hence I thought of taking my family out for a weekend and choose Palace. I would hereby like to touch upon a few gestures which made our day. During Checkin - Since there were a few guest we were made comfortable at the lounge with a welcome drink and my daughter was happy to have a doughnut. And offcourse the traditional welcome was appreciated. In the room - There was a surprise element with ballons and a cake to celebrate our anniversary. This was absolutely unexpected and was a pleasant surprise for my family . Housekeeping associate from the team on floor saw my daughter and proactively offered a kid bed also checked if anything else was required. Poolside - The pool services were impeccable, the LED/ projection mapping show was fantastic also gave some insights on the history of the Taj Mahal. Restaurants- Shamiana's Thai Curry and Slow Roast Chicken was spot on. Sea Lounge's breakfast by the window table was an absolute pleasure with excellent food and coffee . Though this was just a day's stay..my family actually realised why Taj is considered so highly. Special thanks to Sapna and Jyoti at the Frontdesk ; Goydi and Azeem at Sealounge. We look forward to coming back soon .

Excellent view, outstanding hospitality. each and every staff were very courteous and polite. One suggestion : There is no dedicated lounge for residents, all these places in lounge is generally occupied by visitors. I was staying in Taj Mahal Palace hotel, had some meeting with one person but could not find any place to sit, then went to Harbour Bar.

One of the stand out sights of our trip to India and a bucket list item ticked off. We hired a guide, recommended by our driver and it’s certainly worth doing this as he fast tracked us through entrance and was very knowledgeable about the monument. We went at dawn, which is recommended as the sunrise behind the palace is spectacular. The building is very impressive and a photographers dream - be aware there are a lot of people in some areas that hassle to take photos which can be annoying. The views from behind the Taj Mahal across the river include the area where the mirror image black version was to be built. The grounds are very pretty, with lots of birds and monkeys. The mausoleum is highly decorated with marble inlaid with precious stones, guards will shine a torch to show you these. No phots allowed inside. Take advantage of the tuk tuk to ride to and from entrance. As we were leaving it started to get very busy, so it’s definitely worth getting up early to be there as soon as it opens. Highly recommended

Where do I start we arrived on 9/5/2025 to celebrate my partners birthday, and what a birthday experience it was from pulling up outside the Taj to check out the facilities the resteraunts staff and shops were amazing the comfort of the large bed fluffy pillows and the elegance &quality of the room decor were unsappasable. The extra mile the staff went to help celebrate my partners birthday from the decoration of the room to the birthday cake & 5 star food in the restaurant was sublime its something we will never forgot the pool area was relaxing quiet & sophisticated, would recommend the 1hr tour on the history of the hotel, the experience we had we could talk about it forever we want to give a special thankyou to Hitesh Marchande team professional at the Taj Mahal for his warm friendly professional service nothing was too much trouble he made our stay the great experience it was Thank you Hitesh we cannot wait to return
