Absolutely love the resort Antonio and Miguel at Check in are fabulous. Definitely customer service oriented and making sure that every detail is taken care of. Make sure you ask for Antonio to help with luggage, he can give you the inside track on the resort and wonderful places to dine. The local beer is a must try and the pool bar is amazing.

We stayed for 5 nights at the SLS. It's a big place, with a convention center, casino and lots of high end shops. Has a total Vegas feel to it, which isn't a bad thing. Check in was pretty quick and easy, and the staff was very kind and considerate. Room wasn't ready by 4pm though. We waited around an hour in the lobby, and had a small sparkling water and a can of diet coke from the Monkey bar for $22.50. :) Like many others have mentioned - everything is beyond expensive here. A little obnoxiously so. I mean, no one who books this place is getting off cheap - rooms are at least $1,000 a night, right? But it did seem ridiculous. $41.80 for a medium can of sunscreen. :) Hotel is very clean, spacious and glitzy. Well decorated and kept up. Staff was mostly friendly. A few hostesses were a little disinterested. But no one was 'bad'. Room: we had a 1-bed, 2-bath room on the 16th floor near the elevator. It had two very narrow balconies - which you can stand on but not really sit on (there are no chairs and not room for any - except I dragged one of the counter stools out there). Other floors had fuller balconies with seating. Room was very spacious, bright, and comfortable. Full kitchen, including two fridge drawers, microwave, dishwasher, stovetop with kettle, coffee maker, and a stackable washer/dryer. Bathrooms were nice, great water pressure. Stinky water. Hard to avoid in the islands. We found it odd that that bathroom attached to the bedroom had no door and GLASS toilet room and shower doors. Bed was FANTASTIC. You sink into it. Super soft. Great bedding and fabulous pillows. Seriously best beds of anywhere we have ever stayed. Room service: avoid. Although food tasted good, especially the fried chicken sandwich and poke bowl, everything made us have stomach issues. Orders were often wrong or missing items and it took a long time to get them back. No dessert menu or beverages, which we thought was odd. And extremely pricey. Monkey bar, although expensive, is fun and pours very good drinks and has tasty food options (better than room service). Bartenders are very friendly. Cleo restaurant - we went for breakfast twice. $50 a person for the buffet, which I will admit is the biggest buffet I've ever seen for breakfast. Everything from cereal to steak and fish. Charcuterie bar included. Food was good. You get coffee (made with stinky water), tap water, or OJ included, anything else is an extra charge. Thank goodness there are at least two Starbucks near the room so we could get good coffee and some cheaper food! Katsuya: Wide menu, great service, and pretty good sushi. Husband gave it a 7 or 8 out of 10 for the spicy tuna roll and tiger roll. Edamame was so-so. Dessert was so-so. For the price, we expected a little more. We heard about the local "Fish Fry" from the taxi driver who drove us back to the airport...she said it's 10 minutes from the Baha Mar, and is an area the locals go for 40+ restaurants, bars and shops. Huge portions and tasty cocktails for a fraction of what you'd pay at the hotel. So not a review but a recommendation from her to you. :) Wish we had her on our ride FROM the airport! Beach: Fantastic. Seriously the water is gorgeous and 79 or 80 degrees which is awesome when it's about the same temp outside. Cool but comfortable once you're in. Lovely light sand, lots of beach seating and drink and food trucks. Free non-motorized water toys. Umbrellas if it isn't too windy. We had a blast every day. 7 Pools - something for everyone if that's your thing. I didn't pay to be this near the ocean and spend time in a pool. Lots of insta folks at the main SLS pool right outside the lobby. Lots of choices though, if that isn't your scene. Super family friendly. We saw tons of families, all having a great time. Towels and filtered water stations are available. Little food and convenience shops: nice selection of places to grab a poke bowl or ice cream cone, get sundries, and see aquatic life and birds. Lovely grounds - we enjoyed a long walk each night about an hour before the sun went down. Benches to sit on by the beach, and beautiful water to walk in. Everything is very clean. Expect small corporate events throughout your stay, which may include some loud thumping tunes for several hours. The Skybar starts loud music at 8pm on weekends, so that may filter to you if you're on a high floor. We didn't mind it. Room is pretty well insulated if you have the sliders closed. BTW those are REALLY heavy and hard to open. Understandable, but man! Excursions: we only did one while we were here. A short taxi ride to Paradise Island - Aquashores was excellent and reasonably priced for a half day, 5 island tour with drinks the whole time and lunch, snorkeling, and swimming with pigs. We had a blast. I really enjoyed our time in Nassau. I don't know that I would stay at the SLS again - it's a little more party vibe than we usually want. But Cable Beach was stunning and we absolutely loved swimming and snorkeling and getting some rays. The biggest disappointment was the food. Like many others, we felt that we got 2-star food at 5-star prices. Next time we'll probably stay at the Rosewood property and visit some more off-property eateries.

Our stay at SLS was amazing! The staff was very helpful and sweet. They took good care of us. Miguel at the front desk is your guy! He helped me with all my bookings and shared all the perks of Disloyalty program which we signed up for. Will definitely come back to this resort!

Beautiful property and excellent service. Special thanks to Miguel for the extra care and going above and beyond. We had a group of 80 and there was something for everyone. Check at the Jazz bar for late night fun and great cocktails. Definitely coming back.
