About the Hotel
At only 20 minutes from touch-down to sand, El Mangroove is a contemporary boutique hotel with a unique personality. It contains 85 bohemian-chic suites surrounded by forest, beach and mangrove that are only steps away from the ocean. Exceptional Service at El Mangroove, Thanks to Natalia
Our flight was canceled due to technical difficulties, and we came directly to El Mangroove. The hotel graciously provided a fantastic room for the four of us. Natalia at the front desk was exceptional—her positive attitude, welcoming smile, and attentiveness made us feel immediately at ease and truly cared for, even during our short stay. The hotel also offers a wonderful breakfast buffet and complimentary access to the steam room and kayaking, adding to the overall experience.

Beautiful Hotel with Excellent Service
We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. It’s right on the beach, with amazing views and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff was friendly and always helpful, making us feel welcome from the start. The rooms were clean, elegant, and very comfortable. The food was fresh and delicious at every meal. We especially enjoyed the pool area, which has private kiosks you can rent for the day—perfect for relaxing. We used Nomad Tours CR for a couple of excursions and they were fantastic! Gabriel followed up with us to ensure our driver arrived on time and even checked in afterward to see how we enjoyed the adventure. Truly great service! We did the Full Wildlife Tour, where we saw sloths, toucans, and monkeys in the lush rainforest — it was an incredible experience! We also did the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano Hike, which is an absolutely amazing spot! Overall, I would highly recommend both El Mangroove Hotel and Nomad Tours for an unforgettable experience in Costa Rica.

Pablo, the concierge, was amazing! With 48 hours' notice, he assisted my wife and me with booking a catamaran tour, ATV excursion, ziplining event, and visit to a wildlife sanctuary! I would recommend this hotel; however, the food offerings could be improved.
