Reviews for Cheval Blanc Paris

Disappointing hotel considering it should be a flagship one.

This should be a hotel that represents the lvmh brand since it is located in bernard arnault's hometown and it is very new. Instead there are many issues here which are a deal breaker. 1. censored wifi - and blocked vpn. The hotel blocks access to a tremendous amount of websites, and to add insult to injury, they prevent us from using our VPN to access... then to make matters worse, it is very difficult to use a personal hotspot from my phone since the signal strength is very very poor within the hotel walls. 2. the only nice outdoor area which they have (the garden) is closed until mid may, despite the fact that the weather has been gorgeous for over 2 weeks already. All other hotels (such as four seasons, reserve, etc) already have their courtyard and terasses open. 3. you pay a lot of extra money to be on the seine side, however it is so extremely loud from the street noise that sleeping in on the weekdays is not possible for people who are sensitive to sound. 4. shower towels are too small. they have bath towels which are larger but they only brought them much later in my stay after I complained 5. the toto toilet model is the very cheap and small version. it has a strange smell and is not suited for a hotel of this quality.

Loved it. My personal dream of a city hotel.

We stayed with the family and had two wonderful rooms. The Hotel is beautiful and the rooms are outstanding. Seriously with all the crap other European city hotels are selling these days, this Hotel is what you want. The rooms were so nicely done when we arrived. We had around a million amenities which were really nice and super handy. The room for the kids had popcorn, cookies and special shower gel shampoo for the kids. The hotel has an extra kids club where you can leave the kids in the afternoon with a really sweet lady who looks after them. The breakfast was so so nice. Everything was delicious. We celebrated my daughter’s 8 birthday in the hotel and they had a nice cake prepared and a really nice unicorn balloon waiting for us. I was able to prepare a beautiful birthday table (even while breakfast is apparently not the time when table cloths are available in the restaurant;-). So we had a beautiful birthday. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful. The gym wasn’t big but very well equipped and had everything I could ask for. When I was there it was fairly empty and they had always a member of staff there cleaning and making sure it was nicely looked after. We stayed there with our 3 kids so we decided to have dinner in the hotel twice. We went for two different restaurants on the top floor. The experience was good. The food was delicious and the service was good. We are already planning our next trip.

Superb!

Fabulous lunch, superb wines, superior service, special place for a special time. The view from the terrace is worth the reservation, one of the best in Paris, plus the people watching is fascinating, OK, not cheap so what are you going to do with your money anyway?

Just plain WOW!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

we arrived for a 5 night stay at Cheval Blanc Paris to celebrate out 42nd anniversary. From the moment we entered the hotel,we felt this was someplace truly special. The staff here is extraordinary—starting with our personal butler, Victor, to concierge Anais, and the lovely and sweet Rosalie (another on the butler team). Our junior suite overlooking the Seine, within walking distance to all the main sites, was possibly the best we had ever experienced (and we’ve been all over the world). A gorgeous shower with steam, full service Toto toilet and luxurious amenities. The biggest true surprise was the gifts left for us every day—delicious cakes, Dior products, a logo cap and even personalized gifts to bring home for our grandkids! Victor topped all this off with a romantic, personal experience on the roof of the hotel, with the most incredible panoramic view of Paris! A trip to top all others! Thank you, Victor and Cheval Blanc Paris! We will miss you!!

Luxury Done Right

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Cheval Blanc is a Luxury Brand with high end hotels known for beautiful interiors and exceptional service. Sitting majestically along the banks of the Seine river, next to the Louvre museum, this hotel offers beautiful views from the rooms and the upstairs restaurant. The staff was very well trained, very professional and extremely friendly and courteous. Our room was beautifully decorated, in calming sage and cream colors, very refreshing and airy. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small but very well stocked with amenities. The shower was big with an amazing shower head, the double sink area was tight and the soaking tub was medium size. The toilet was in its own little closet space, across from the bathroom. Unfortunately that toilet closet smelled like sewer, and I think it is from the Seine River. Initially I was not happy about the toilet not being in the bathroom, however once I encountered the smell, I realized why they had gone with that design. It is a distinct smell, that reeks throughout the hotel, and unfortunately the hotel is using a strong perfume to mask the foul odor; the final result is a strong, unpleasant smell. Upon check in we had a beautiful fruit platter in our room , and everyday we had a different goody to sample. The breakfast was at the upstairs restaurant which had beautiful views of paris. The staff at breakfast was haphazard. One day we ended up with an amazing waitress, the next day it was a complete disaster. My coffee came cold, she forgot that I told her I was gluten free and brought me regular bread, overall its a nice setting, good menu but service needs some improvement. I did get a chance to use the spa, my massage was very good, the pool area was by far one of the better indoor pools that I have encountered, the Coed sauna and the steam room were a bit small. Overall the hotel has thought of everything and it delivered on the luxury part. Of course, non of it comes cheap, this hotel is one of the more expensive luxury hotels in the area. Unfortunately the smell was too overwhelming for me that I will not stay again.
