We arrived on a Friday night for a 2 night stay. From 8am Saturday morning we received 4 different staff over the course of 6 hours knock on our door saying we had either checked out or were checking out and then they thought the room was empty. We could not order room service as the menu on the tv screen stated we had checkout, rang down to reception and stated we needed to check in again even though our room keys were still working. Just to make a bad experience worse we were woken at 10.30pm to a noise I can only describe as trying to sleep in a night club. This noise went until 12.50am and the next day reception stated they had sent security to deal with the matter but clearly were unable to control the situation. Hotel was clean, restaurant’s had great menus and staff were friendly however something is very wrong with their systems and processes.

Nice hotel but sound proofing between rooms really poor - currently the next room is watching TV and I feel like I’m in the room with them…. the renovated room is nice however, staff are helpful and breakfast is good but not sure I’d stay again as the next room noise situation is less than optimal.

Beautiful suite with an amazing view of the city and the Swan river. Friendly staff helping throughout the stay. Room was newly refurbished and spacious. Enjoyed evening club lounge drinks and food. Good choice of food for breakfast buffet as well.

Our stay started off really nicely. The hotel was great, rooms were well appointed and clean. The hotel seems to be in quite a decent place for exploring Perth. We enjoyed the bars/restaurant at the hotel. Staff at breakfast were friendly. Housekeeping was overly attentive, checking in on us again after already having straightened our room for the day. Before you stay here, I'd recommend checking if they have any weddings/evening functions on for the nights you're planning to stay. During our 5 nights in Perth, 2 of the nights had weddings on which sadly for us meant pounding music in our room until after midnight. On the first occasion, I called down to see if there was anything we could do because we couldn't sleep and I was told. Well it's a wedding. So basically bad luck to us, even though we'd still been charged full price to stay there, we still deserve to be respected as guests. Sunday morning after the second wedding, we thought oh well, at least we'll be able to sleep in, however, unfortunately another guest was causing an issue in the room next door and staff had to come and have a loud conversation through the door with them at 7am. We also heard a couple being intimate while walking to breakfast one morning, so please be aware that the rooms might not always be as private as you'd like 😳 The carpark is quite a hassle. You need to inform concierge every time you'd like to leave and then you're supposed to be able to drive out without issue. 3 out of 5 mornings trying to head out for the day we were stopped at the boom gate where we were told we'd have to pay $40 to get out - even though our parking had been paid for (or at least added to our bill). We'd have to call up to reception to get let out. The third time this happened, I mentioned to the lady who answered that this kept happening and she got snippy with me and said we needed to be out in 30 mins after letting them know. It had been no more than 5 mins since we told them. On Anzac Day, when we left the hotel for a pre-booked cruise, no one at the concierge desk thought to mention that the street the carpark was in had been blocked off for the morning, with large trucks blocking each end. We were able to get out, once we realised the parked car blocking the street with the truck, was there to move to allow access. But a heads up would have been very helpful! We did bring up most of our concerns while checking out and were offered a late checkout. When we said this did not suit, we were offered to have the cost of our parking reimbursed. We certainly don't blame the people getting married for the issues we encountered and hope all the couples had the best days of their lives! However, we believe the hotel needs to do more for the other paying guests - even something as simple as earplugs if you can't properly soundproof the event spaces.

We took up the Birthday stay offer. Excellent service and everyone were so friendly looked like they really enjoyed working there. The room was clean and comfortable, and we had a good view of the swan river. Breakfast was at the UMA Restaurant and was a buffet breakfast. Staff was friendly and the selection was excellent.
