Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas

From the moment we arrived at Anantara Rasananda, everything was amazing. The resort is set on a beautiful, quiet beach, and it really feels like a hidden paradise. It strikes the perfect balance between natural beauty and luxury; everything just felt so peaceful and well thought out. The villas are absolutely gorgeous, spacious, private, and beautifully designed. We especially loved having our own plunge pool and outdoor shower; it really felt like our own little tropical retreat. The service was honestly outstanding. Every single staff member was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. A special thank you to Khun Fon and Khun Nonnie from the front office team; they made us feel looked after from the very beginning, with a warm welcome, smooth check-in, and great recommendations throughout our stay. Also, Khun Garfield from the restaurant team was amazing; he remembered our preferences every time we dined there, which made us feel truly special and cared for. It's clear the team genuinely wants every guest to have a memorable experience.

My stay at Anantara Rasananda with my family was unforgettable. From the festive welcome and exceptional hospitality, authentic surroundings and spacious, beautifully designed villas, every moment felt special. The tranquil atmosphere of Koh Phangan added to the overall sense of peace and relaxation. While the resort offers a variety of dining options, there are plenty of options available just a short walk away on the main street of Thong Nai Pan, which are more budget-friendly than the in-villa or hotel dining. A special mention goes to our villa host, Sanh, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.

This place is so special. It’s the most luxurious hotel we’ve experienced since our honeymoon in Tahiti. They greet you personally with a welcome drink. The transport here from Koh Samui was wonderful too. The villas are amazing. The breakfast is incredible (made to order & buffet). I teared up having to leave :) I wish we spent more time on this island. There’s also a really nice village behind the resort where we also had a great & cheap meal.

We had a wonderful stay here over the Easter break with our two children (11 and 14). There are so many wonderful hotels in Thailand that I was nervous to pick one but I was not disappointed! The 5* experience started at check in - done in an open aired lodge in Koh Samui which meant that after our luxury speedboat there all we had to do was enjoy our welcome drink and be shown our rooms by a wonderful villa host. The room (2 bed pool villa) was very spacious and well appointed. Housekeeping was outstanding. The beach is divine. But most special is the service - from the team on the beach reserving our sun beds each day, the waiting staff and the front of house. I cannot fault it! Unfortunately my daughter was unwell one day and the hotel could not have been more helpful - from arranging for our room to be cleaned at a time of our choosing to offering food/drinks for her, even finding us later in the day in the pool to check how she was - we felt so looked after! We hope to return again soon

We were so excited to have a dream holiday at the Anantara Rasananda but on our day of leaving ( 4 days at the hotel) some one had come into our locked room. Room 35 and stolen a Panasonic tooth flosser electric from the bathroom and as it was the last day had gone through our suitcase and stolen my wallet with all my cards, personal items, medication and money. We did not notice until we unpacked at our new hotel on Koh Samui. We contacted the hotel …… but they were utterly useless. They even said they can’t prove that we even had these items, they honestly did not care. They said they had asked all the staff but to no avail ! Absolutely disgusting this happened in a 5 star hotel. I could not believe this has happened. To think someone had the time to go through our luggage and take everything. I had to phone the hotel 4 times to finally get an email from a manager, which said nothing of any use. No apology, nothing. Just a feeble email stating they had checked the security cameras and nothing showed up. If you want to stay in a hotel like this please be warned. I would hate for anyone to be treated this way or have items stolen from their packed luggage in a locked hotel room. The wallet was hidden away and they found it. The tooth flosser was in the bathroom. It rained for 3 days so we know it happened on the 3rd day evening or the 4th day when we were leaving.
