Fairmont Mayakoba

We couldn’t have dreamed of a better experience than the week we had at the Fairmont! The warm hospitality of the entire staff was consistent across the entire property. Our butlers, Miguel, Rodrigo and Santiago, were absolutely exceptional! We celebrated my wife’s birthday during our stay and these gentlemen went above and beyond to make her feel special! Our room was absolutely perfect. Spacious, clean and quiet. I could go on and on about the property, which is indeed fabulous, but it was the personal attention, genuine care and dedication to hospitality that truly makes this a five star experience, one that we will be repeating again and again.

Fantastic stay! Irvin, Marlon and Jhovany were beyond amazing and super accommodating with any and every request! The property is spectacular, so much to eat and see! Getting around on bikes or golf carts made exploring the property super easy. The spa was also relaxing and the staff were knowledgeable. I would definitely come again!

Dinner at the Bassano restaurant was fantastic the service was spot on! Our waiter even provided a special treat for our anniversary. We had desserts pasta and folded pizza that was very unique. 2 thumbs up. Wine service with a great selection along with after dinner coffee really added to the food selection

Note: We have not left for this trip yet; but, the booking experience has felt like a scam. I would not recommend booking direct with this Fairmont and I would definitely use a 3rd party agency. As an Accor member and choosing to book direct with the hotel I would have expected fair customer service; however, the experience has been subpar and dishonest.

We had an unforgettable stay at the Fairmont Mayakoba – our second time visiting, after a wonderful experience last year. The hotel is beautifully nestled in the jungle, surrounded by lush nature. The entire property is immaculately maintained and looks absolutely magical at night with its dreamy lighting. We stayed in a Casita, which was spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The food was excellent throughout our stay, with a great variety of restaurants offering different cuisines and atmospheres. One small suggestion: it would be wonderful to see more vegetarian options, especially among the main courses. While the food was delicious and well-prepared, the variety for vegetarians was somewhat limited and could be improved to better accommodate vegetarian diets. We appreciated that some fantastic activities – like the ecotour, canal boat tour and catamaran tour – were already included in the all-inclusive package, which added great value to our stay. Our kids (ages 6 and 4) attended the Kids Club for about 2 hours daily and had a fantastic time with activities like pool games and a Mexican Fiesta. The staff there was amazing and made sure the little ones had fun and felt safe. A little downside: some Kids Club activities came with an additional fee (500 pesos, not included in the all inclusive package). While the quality was good, we felt the cost was rather high – and with two children, these charges add up quickly. That said, what truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional staff. From one heartist to another, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful people who made our stay so special. Every staff member we met was warm, professional, and genuinely kind. Special thanks to Erik, who guided us on a snorkeling tour – he was knowledgeable, approachable, and incredibly friendly, and made the experience truly memorable. Also to Joan, the attentive and charming waiter at Fuego, and Leslye, the caring supervisor at the Kids Club. The housekeeping staff also deserves recognition for their meticulous work and friendly greetings in the halls – they truly are the unsung heroes behind the scenes. Fairmont, your people are your greatest treasure. You can be incredibly proud of the team you have. We hope to return next year and relive this magical experience once again.
