About the Hotel
When Le Sirenuse opened in 1951, it captured the tranquility, sophistication and style that have made the town of Positano a beloved retreat on the Amalfi Coast. This intimate former summer home resides just 35 miles southeast of Naples, and its terraces gaze across Homerâ€(TM)s legendary Island of the Sirens. Vibrant Vietri tiles, cool whitewashed walls and an abundance of natural light give the bedrooms character, while vaulted ceilings, antique furniture and old master paintings embellish the suites. Savor a romantic dining experience at La Sponda Restaurant, featuring a drapery of bougainvillea and hundreds of candles.

The best of the best
This is quite simply my favorite hotel on the planet! It feels like coming home and I actually cry when we leave. Everyone who works there seem to be really happy to help you with plans, reservations, and ideas of where you should go and dine besides the hotel. The front desk employees are just incredibly welcoming and Agata, as director of guest relations, is everywhere, making sure you have a great time. We have been at least 3 or 4 times and every aspect, from before you arrive, until the day you leave, is perfection. Our room was upgraded significantly, the breakfast buffet is exquisite and full of my favorite pastries, especially the lemon cake, excellent espresso, etc., and the amazing Maître D has been there SO long and is so welcoming, you can't wait to see him. So many things to love, and this year, there is a breakfast cruise (eat your real breakfast at La Sponda first, as there are a few pastries and coffee on board) toward Nerano, a cruise to drop you at Nerano for lunch, and another cruise going toward Amalfi at sunset, on the famous vintage Sant'Antonio boat. Antonio is the host on the boat, along with the wonderful driver! The cruise is one of the included features in your stay; how generous! Reserve ahead of time, though. We had one dinner at La Sponda, our last night, and it was exquisite, with amazing service by Dario. Every server at La Sponda, whether breakfast or dinner, was so attentive and caring, too! If you love the most beautiful views, you will have them at Le Sirenuse; look out your window or on your balcony and take in the entire view of Positano, overlooking the gorgeous cathedral, the beach, and the coast, the little islands, and the coastal mountains. There is no other view in the world like this one and it fills you with joy to sit on your balcony with an espresso from your room machine, or a gift of chocolate covered strawberries, or the beautiful fruits that are offered to you. You will find a Baci next to your bed at night, too! The bathroom is so well equipped with a Dyson hair dryer, and the Eau d'Italie bath products created by Le Sirenuse owners which are fabulous, along with the world's best hotel bath towels (a particular delight for me. I have stayed in many 5*++ hotels around the world and these are the best.) There is a spa but I ran out of time for a treatment; I am sure it is wonderful as well. The hotel shop, Emporio Sirenuse, is across the street with beautiful clothing and home items. You will receive a special gift before you leave, from their collection, but I won't spoil the surprise; it is a lovely gift you will enjoy! The generosity shown by the owners is nothing short of extraordinary. We will always try to celebrate our big moments at Le Sirenuse. There simply is no place like this "home"! Love to everyone who works there; you are like family to us.

Top notch hotel
This is a beautiful hotel with top notch service. The location and views are superb. It was nice having an elevator that takes you part way down to the beach. All the stairs in Positano were hard on my knees so this was an added bonus. I highly recommend staying here in Positano. We really enjoyed our time at Le Sirenuse!

A perfect stay in the center of Positano
I have now stayed at Le Sirenuse five times, and I truly mean it when I say the experience here is unforgettable. I had only ever visited in the summer months (June, July, and August), but I just returned from a trip in April and it was so lovely. From the moment I pulled up to the hotel, I was welcomed back so warmly by everyone. It truly felt like returning home. Our room was ready upon arrival, which is always so convenient and very much appreciated. We spent the afternoon by the pool and had lunch there as well- it was just perfect. The views are everything! Dinner at La Sponda was an incredible experience and an absolute must in Positano. Dario, our server, was wonderful and made the evening so special. Breakfast each morning was just as lovely, with another fantastic server who not only took great care of us but also offered excellent recommendations for exploring Positano. The dining room at La Sponda (where breakfast is also served) is truly one of the most beautiful spaces at the hotel. Definitely the best breakfast in Positano — trust me, I've tried almost all of the luxury hotels in Positano! I’ve been fortunate enough to stay at Le Sirenuse several times now, and somehow, each visit seems to get even better. The hotel offers several activities and amenities for guests, and I think the boat ride to Nerano for lunch is probably my favorite. Although I didn’t get to take the hotel boat this year since we visited in early April, every moment of my stay was still exceptional. I want to especially thank Mauro at the front desk. Year after year, he goes above and beyond to make sure every detail is perfect from reservations to thoughtful recommendations. I’ve been lucky enough to stay at many five-star hotels around the world, but the personal connections and kindness from Mauro, and the overall experience at Le Sirenuse, are truly unmatched. I can’t wait to return again in June!

Whether it was bringing towels poolside in the rain or seamlessly organizing a last-minute day trip to Ravello and Amalfi after our Capri boat was canceled, they handled every request with ease and warmth. The concierge team is truly world-class, turning any change of plans into a new highlight. Dining at La Sponda is an experience in itself. The food is exceptional, the ambiance vibrant, and the live strolling musicians make every evening feel like a celebration. We had dinner there our first night and were so impressed, we canceled other reservations just to return for a second night. It was that memorable. Guest rooms are immaculate—cleaned and refreshed with clockwork precision, and turned down nightly to perfection. It’s clear that nothing is left to chance, and every element is designed to make you feel completely at ease. Yes, it’s a splurge—but it’s worth every cent. Le Sirenuse not only lives up to the hype—it redefines it. Our four nights here were one of the highlights of our Italy trip. We’re already planning our return next year.
