Exceeding expectations in every department !
Great Expectations, Exceeded! We had a fantastic stay at the Golden Hirsch in Salzburg. It has fantastic location and all tourist spots can be explored on foot. It is on a shopping street as well as same street at Mozarts place. Patrick, the bartender, was incredibly friendly and crafted some amazing cocktails for us. The staff overall were outstanding—when I sprained my ankle, Emilija was exceptionally helpful and attentive. The breakfast was amazing, with a wide variety of delicious options to start the day right. Again the service staff was outstanding. Special thanks to Binod, who went above and beyond to help us with our travel plans. The hotel restaurant was another highlight, offering excellent food and a great selection of wines. If we return to Salzburg, we’ll definitely be staying here again!

Superior Accomodation
The Goldener Hirsch is one of one of my favourite hotels. On our latest trip to Europe we were arriving and departing from Zurich. A large part of our trip was spent in skiing in Switzerland and then in Vienna. We used the Hirsch as our waystation the way there and back just because we like it that much. Always great service and accomodations and superior food. What more can one ask for?

The good and the bad
Pro: Fantastic location and both restaurants are great! Con: many stairs where no elevator goes to, inexperienced front desk and the beds are awful. We hardly slept even though we got a suite, after 2 nights we were glad to leave. Sad. Tip to Management: invest some of the high prices you charge in new pillows and duvets along with mattresses.

Excellent hotel in excellent location
Excellent hotel in alpine chic, furnished with antiques. Excellent location in Getreidegasse, allowing for immediate exploration of Salzburg’s Old Town and walking to Festspielhaus. Excellent breakfast and recommended lunch. Bar also recommended.

Un hôtel extraordinaire en plein coeur de la vieille ville de Salzbourg. Un accueil extraordinaire et une vraie gentillesse comme cela n'existe plus aujourd'hui. Le chambres sont superbement décorées et aménagées. Petit déjeuner au top. Pour le dîner, le gastro était fermé. Nous avons donc été à la brasserie. Là aussi, beaucoup de gentillesse et une très belle et bonne cuisine.
