Viceroy Los Cabos

I am a Wedding Planner in Cabo and I just have to say how much I LOVE working at this venue. Words can't describe the beauty of this hotel and also the amazing people that work there. The service is phenomenal and I will always recommend this venue to all my clients because this is just a wonderful place to get married!! From the moment you arrive until you leave you always find smiley faces and great service!!! Food is out of this world, congratulations to all the culinary team! :) A special recognition to Yadira, she made my clients feel that there was no better place than Viceroy for their wedding and she was RIGHT! To Sandra, it was so lovely to work with her, she was always on TOP of everything and made all stress free, thank you for all the calls and the time you spent with us. To Jessi that she step on the last part of the planning but from the moment she did, she was always there to make sure that the wedding was perfect! I couldn't have done it without these 3 lovely ladies, it was such a pleasure to be part of your team and create magic together. I can't wait for September and November that I will be back with other weddings!!

This was our first trip to Los Cabos and our first getaway as a couple since before the pandemic (and the kid), and we were torn between a few different destinations. In the end, we chose Baja and the Viceroy to make the most of our budget and try out the good life. We were initially totally intimidated by the place (it's seriously STUNNING) and very nervous to learn that our room came with "butler" service, but from the moment Fernando met us in the lobby and listened so patiently as we explained to him that, no, we had no clue what a butler does, but we were pretty sure we didn’t need one, our butlers, Fernando and Roberto, won us over. Working with them was effortless and comfortable and in a million big and little ways, their hard work and kind attention made the Viceroy feel like our home away from home. They made our experience unforgettable. The property is very well-maintained and there is plenty to see and do. The photos do not do justice to how deeply cool and otherworldly it is and the vibe was overall considerate and quiet so that even on nights when the restaurants had live music, the footpaths were still pretty chill and whisper-quiet. We had considered bringing our kiddo along on this trip but I'm glad we didn't. There were very few kids around the central levels (they mostly seemed to hang out down by the beach) and nobody really yelled or made any loud noises outside or climbed in to splash in the water features - our kid would've had a hard time with that. The staff seems to genuinely care about their work and the place itself, and the team in the transportation area was particularly friendly and very helpful. We loved the food and the atmosphere at Awacate (don’t forget to take a selfie with The Chuck). The hotel's pools were all sparkly clean. Poolside food and bars were great and portions were good (the guac and chips made a great light lunch for two), music was just right, and the servers were seriously thoughtful (they offered ice buckets for our water bottles!) and they became part of the fun. Plenty of chairs and umbrellas to go around, no bad seats. We had to pass on a few of the hotel's offerings to stay within our budget, but we never felt judged, up-sold, or pressured, or like we didn’t have plenty of good choices left within our constraints. The butlers and staff seemed to genuinely want us to have a great time and were cool about helping us make the most of what we had to work with. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the tipping expectations and service charges got a little confusing at times but we really enjoyed the service so we just kind of let it go - if we double-tipped for excellent work, we can live with that. Our room (on a middle floor in building 5) was immaculate and the housekeepers kept everything gorgeous for our entire stay. The bed was a good medium-firmness that we found really comfortable, and all the bedding and furniture smelled fresh and clean. It was very quiet and we rarely ever heard other humans except when we were out on the balcony. The AC worked perfectly. The bathroom was like stepping into a page from a very tasteful magazine while still having some serious “ooh-la-la” energy, perfect for a couple (and def not somewhere I'd enjoy with my child). The balcony plunge pool was WELL worth the splurge (but again, not somewhere I'd necessarily want to hang with my kid - btw I learned a plunge pool is more like a hot tub than a swimming pool in case that term is also new for anyone else). We LIVED on that balcony. And sure, there were a few tiny hiccups with the room during our stay but honestly it was silly tiny stuff and someone was always right there to help. The colored lights in the room were also a super fun feature. Every night after dinner, we’d take a drink down to the beach to look up and see all the colors everyone chose, like a big rainbow dollhouse. While there are privacy shades, some folks seemed to prefer to enjoy their nighttime activities with the shades up, which made for a few hilarious memories and spicy sightings. TLDR: It was perfect.

We had a wonderful time at the Viceroy Los Cabos! The hotel is modern, luxe and serene — you feel completely transported and the views are second to none. There is no bad room at the resort; our junior suite was a true gem and one of the best parts of our stay. The beach and pool areas are all gorgeous and the staff at these locations are kind, welcoming and helpful, especially Gabriel. We were blown away by the food as well — everything at Awacate, Casero, Nido and Nidito was delicious. The spa was also extraordinary pre-treatment there are many different experiences to help you relax; my service provider Nydia was spectacular. We also loved taking classes at the gym — the spa and the gym are both stunning facilities. The spin class with Moises was fantastic. Perhaps the best offering of the hotel is the butler service. Jennifer and Laura attended to every detail and every request: They truly went above and beyond pre-trip and while we were on-site. This service is an incredible amenity and Jennifer shined is every way. We are so grateful for her assistance. We will return!

Came here for my mom’s birthday and loved it. The scenery was very nice and so was the food. Their customer service is amazing. Very relaxing vibe and a great place to visit for any celebration or just an elevated dinner. I will be back when I visit Cabo again!

This was my first stay at the Viceroy Los Cabos but it definitely will not be my last! Our stay was honestly perfect. The view from our room, the cleanliness, the comfortable bed, it was all thoughtfully done. The room has everything you could want, including a well appointed kitchen, luxurious bathtub and beautifully furnished balcony. We had the chance to eat at each of the restaurants and while Nido was our favorite, every meal we had was delicious. Even the room service we enjoyed on our balcony for breakfast each morning was delivered hot and fresh. The pools are beautiful and look out at the ocean.... warm temperature, light music and great atmosphere come together to create a very relaxed vibe. The cabanas are lovely and offer privacy and shade. Overall everything was great but the thing that makes this hotel stand out the most is the outstanding level of service we received. Each staff member there genuinely made us feel as though they cared that we were having the best possible time and because of their attentiveness, we did. I want to give a special thanks to Ismael, Gabriel and Jorge down at the beach who made sure we had everything we could have possibly wanted to make our days relaxing and fun. I would also like to mention Arturo, the manager down at the beach/pool. We had a small problem one day and immediately upon being made aware of the issue, Arturo's professionalism was on full display, he went above and beyond to apologize and make things right. It was clear that he really cared and he personally made sure that everything went smoothly for the rest of our stay. We are very grateful to him. Last but definitely not least, I want to say a huge thank you to our butler Israel. Israel's answer to all of our many requests was always just one word.... "absolutely"! He could not have been more accommodating. He made every restaurant and spa reservation we needed, coordinated everything we needed for our room and made sure there was no stone left unturned to ensure that we had everything we could possibly want. He also tended to small details to make things extra special, including decorating our room to mark my son's birthday! If you have the opportunity to enjoy butler service, I would suggest that you try to ask for Israel as your butler, he is amazing! I definitely recommend that you stay at this hotel, it will not disappoint!
