Nestled into the sand dunes along Mexico’s dramatic San José del Cabo coastline, a place of mystery and magic unfolds. One where fire is the catalyst for bold flavors; heat and sound are healers; the sea is a place of adventure and discovery; whims are anticipated and fulfilled; and your place of rest is a gallery of Mexican artistry. Along gently sloping dunes overlooking the Sea of Cortés in San José del Cabo, luxury suites and villas reflect the land and those who sprung from it. Here, nature is invited within and resort guests encouraged to venture out: sliding glass doors replace traditional walls, terraces are an extension of home, with private plunge pools providing tranquility and the opportunity to take in fresh air. Throughout, luxury villas, art, textiles and decorative objects from Mexican artists showcase the tradition and talent found in Cabo and beyond.

Our trip to Zadun was such a special one for my husband’s 40th birthday. From the moment we walked in the door, to the moment we left, everything felt special. This feeling truly came from the service of all the employees, including our wonderful Toasanis Ari & Gabriel. It also was a plus to be amongst such beautiful surroundings. We opted for an upper level plunge pool suite and it was swanky, yet unpretentious. Every detail thought of to maximize our experience and convenience. The peace of our private pool and loungers overlooking the ocean where we spotted multiple migrating whales was such a treat! For dining we frequented Barrio multiple times (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The service was top notch, food was so fresh and was displayed with care/attention to detail. The tempura fish tacos I could’ve eaten ten more times and will dream about! My husband HAD to have the guacamole everyday! The Mariachi band performance night dinner is not to be missed—the music, the views, the food—unforgettable. Another night we shared a romantic birthday dinner overlooking the ocean at sunset at Humo—we made a reservation a week ahead. The wine was lovely, the food was delicious, and the restaurant even surprised my husband with off-menu fresh churros with a sparkler—perfection! We didn’t have a bad meal all trip… During the mornings, we noticed NO rush of people to hoard pool or beach chairs which was nice—no overcrowding. We preferred to spend our time with our toes in sand where the beachside service was wonderful—just push a button and a cold drink or sushi rolls are in their way! I also appreciated the non alcoholic drink options amongst the property. We went for a couple nice walks along the beach and felt perfectly safe. The beach is not at all swimmable, as are most Cabo area beaches, but we knew that going in. The afternoons we retreated to our plunge pool that was a nice temperature at the end of April (not too cool or warm). There were a couple families with older children maybe aged 6/7 and up. I personally would not bring mine here as they are a little younger—their noise levels would definitely be noticed here and possibly become bothersome to other guests or at least make me anxious they were ruining the relaxing vibe… We had visited the Waldorf Pedregal years ago, and were afraid to be disappointed going elsewhere, but Zadun rose to the occasion and delivered a luxurious, authentic, unpretentious experience for us. Zadun is a resort gem! Don’t hesitate to book. We would be so happy to come back again. Gracias!

This hotel is amazing from the time we arrived. We were greeted by Gabriel the head butler who goes above and beyond for you! We received a specialty drink on arrival and we were also given chips, guacamole and treats in our room. Our room was spacious and beautiful 10 out of 10. Housekeeping was amazing too. The food and drinks were delicious and everything was above and beyond. Great Service! We stayed at the Four Seasons Cabo del Sol on this same vacation and the Ritz Zadun was far better. We ate at Arce and Flora Farms and it is super close to the Zadun. To be honest I thought the service was way better at Zadun than the Four Season Cabo del Sol...they don't have swimmable beach either. It is expensive but was worth the money.

This was our second stay at Zadun. This time we went to celebrate my husband's birthday. We invited my MIL and FIL to join us. It far exceeded all of our expectations. We were lucky enough to have Mario as our butler again. He is incredibly kind, friendly, professional and attentive. He checked in on us daily, and it was nice to chat with him about life, work, travel, etc. The staff at Zadun go above and beyond. This reserve property stands out as far as service is concerned. Everyone calls you by name everywhere you go. Staff are responsive when you text your butler, or need a golf cart. Also, Juan Flores, the chef at Barrio was beyond attentive. He came out numerous times to check in on us, and surprised my husband with various desserts and treats every time we ate there. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful everyone is at Zadun. Our kids enjoyed the kids club, which is really big with a lot of daily activities. We booked Luisa again from Baja Babysitting to help with our boys. She is lovely, communicative and great with our boys. They were excited to see her again for this second trip back to Zadun. All in all, excellent stay and we're already planning to return for a third time.

Vacationed at Zadun with my husband & 13 yr old son. First time staying in San Jose vs. Cabo San Lucas and we loved it! Check in was a bit rocky, but once a manager stepped in, we were upgraded to a beautiful suite. Everything was smooth sailing from there & we had a truly amazing vacation. The staff was exceptional. Dylan at Barrio was so sweet. I commented that I loved the torrejas at breakfast, so he arranged a private cooking class for us with chef Roberto which was so fun! Hazeal at the pool was so friendly & helpful every morning setting up chairs for us. Xomara at Candil bar went out of her way to make a special drink for my son. Edgar, our butler was so attentive and helpful during our stay. We caught fish on a fishing trip and chef Romero prepared a delicious & memorable dinner with our fresh fish at Equis. Our Cortez suite was beyond amazing. Room & grounds were clean & well maintained. The food at all of the restaurants was fresh & delicious. We dined at Humo twice, it’s pricey but really good. Breakfast & lunches at Barrio were both great as well. We dined off property several times too, it was easy to get into town, to flora farms, acre, etc. Overall such a great trip. We can’t wait to go back!

Checked in as an ambassador Marriott level. They told me they gave me an upgrade, but it wasnt. They said I had this LOW room reservation, I showed them my reservation which was for a higher room. Finally, they said, they DONT DO UPGRADES. Gave me a room right next to where the cleaning staff meets, parks their carts, etc, with much less privacy. Telling me that my reservation was at entry level, WHILE I AM PAYING AT A HIGHER level, simply isnt acceptable. Room 202 today
