About the Hotel
Embracing a legacy of rich history dating back to the 15th century, Hodelpa Nicolas de Ovando Hotel is located on the first paved road of the New World, Calle Las Damas, in the heart of Santo Domingo’s historic Zona Colonial, designated a UNESCO Heritage Site. Comprising three stone houses and courtyards built in 1502, the historic building was the very first to be built on the country’s colonial land and the home of the town’s founder and first Spanish governor of the Americas, Nicolas de Ovando, and his companion Christopher Columbus.

Amazing staff
Felix Gonzalez the front door staff was excellent. He speaks perfect English and made my stay so memorable.. He recommended many local sites, explained the city, helped me check in and recommended different food to try. Felix was the gem of my trip and went above and beyond. I just wanted to come here and thank you for employing such an amazing person who deserves a raise. Thanks again.

Excelente elección para quien quiere conocer la historia de Santo Domingo su arquitectura colonial y su comida típica. El hotel es impecable,las áreas comunes las habitaciones ,el sector del club premier es muy recomendable tiene amenities que marca la diferencia en el servicio, las habitaciones con detalles exquisitos de buen gusto y la estructura general del hotel es digna de aplausos a quien la mantiene tan perfecta despues de tantos años !!! El personal es amable muy cordial y respetuoso en todas las áreas. !! Restaurante y desayuno 10 !!! Gracias

Excelente la atención y el servicio de Brunilde y Yaritssa, muy amables y presta a lo que necesitábamos. La comida muy rica, la cantidad suficiente y la sazón deliciosa. Me gustó mucho este lugar, su ambiente y todo lo que tienen disponible. Super recomendado

Agradable espacio.
Un ambiente agradable, la comida de buen sabor y la atención amena y calida. La vista atesora el ambiente antiguo, te sumerge en una experiencia colonial con un patio de cielo abierto con un pequeño camino de palmeras. Fuimos atendidos con mucha amabilidad por Katia y Brunilde.

Hotel súper cómodo y bonito muy accesible para caminar la zona colonial, tranquilo para descansar lo único a mejorar la variedad en el bufete ya que es algo limitado en el desayuno pocos platillos preparados, de ahí en fuera todo excelente.
