W Scottsdale

Recently stayed at the W a location I frequented many times and have fond memories of an amazing staff... Ohh boy things have changed there was another review that mentioned "Shalisa" at the front desk and boy did I get a suprise when she checked me in, rude is an understatement. Every time I ask her to repeat something she would exlaim in an aggressive manner "I ALREADY TOLD YOU!" which felt very belittling as I am hard of hearing which I explained to her aswell and she just sighed right in my face! HELLO!? God forbid I have questions about a property I decide to spend $500 a night to stay at... Never once did she acknowledge my existance after check in and when I had to come down to swap my husbands card she was busy watching tik tok videos at full volume and I had practically beg her to make time time to assist me... talk about customer service. When we swapped cards she made no conversation and was twitching her eyes at me trying very quickly to get me away I was going to ask for waters for the room but her demenor just made me so uneasy I had to go back to the room and call down. Everyone else was very nice but I should have took the other review to heart, it really is amazes me how one sour apple ruins the whole bunch in this case Shalisa, so thanks once again to Shalisa for ruining what had the opprotunity to be an amazing weekend with my husband. Please take action against this as I didn't believe the review at first but will never stay at this property and tell all my family and friends to stay away because nobody should be treated like this.

Pay attention to the bad reviews-they are accurate. I didn’t and paid the price (literally). Shalissa at the front desk was the absolute rudest person I’ve ever encountered. She needs a new job! She ruined my whole trip when I checked in. She was mean and rude to me. They don’t even care if you’re a Premium Elite Marriott member so don’t bother. My room was on the second floor. Pretty sure she did that on purpose because I asked for a quiet room. Instead she put me in the loudest right by the pool party! If you like to party and drink alcohol till wee hours of the morning, this is hotel for you. If you’re in Scottsdale for business, find another place to stay. It’s all about the club, party atmosphere here. My room was dirty (see photos). I will never stay here again! I will say on a positive note-Tre at the Valet was wonderful. Super nice and accommodating

Destiny was amazing, had an inviting smile & encouraging enthusiasm. She came by & greeted my sister & i, gave us delicious food recommendations & had an overall positive attitude. Destiny & Ryan are definitely an unstoppable unit!!!!!!!

Last month when I came to town I stayed at the Biltmore and it was one of the best hotel experiences I ever had. This month the rooms everywhere were so high and the Biltmore was too high. I booked the W Scottsdale thinking it would be a great alternative. Polar opposite! One of the worst hotel express I have ever had. Room was wired basement style room with a view of the brick wall. The toilet was literally 3 feet from the bed (I measured) AC broke first night. The bar CO2 tanks were not operational so the ginger ale was flat but I still got charged $56 for a Whiskey and ginger ale that I forced down. The fire alarm which is so load with flashing lights went off three times during the day while I was trying to catch up on some rest. I asked for maid service and was ignored. What happen to the W? Never again! I would up checking out 2 days early because it was just too uncomfortable. The front desk said that I book the cheapest category room which I believe was $662 the first night so there was nothing they could do. Unacceptable

Monty and Tre and the whole team were the best. Provided quick service and great recommendations when I was not familiar with the area. They were good about remembering my name too! Hope to see them there again on my next trip to Scottsdale, Arizona
