We stayed at the Fairmont Peace Hotel in a 'Fairmont Gold, 1 King Bed, Non-smoking, Executive Level' with access to the club lounge and it exceeded all expectations! It was such a beautiful hotel to stay in. A great location - everything in walking distance, if you want that - but also transport at your fingertips if you prefer that. As well as using the club lounge we dined at the Dragon Phoenix restaurant, which we also highly recommend. Totally recommend this hotel.

It had been an enjoyable experience staying in such a historical hotel. The room is big, clean and comfortable. The service is excellent. I would also like to compliment John, the concierge staff. On the day when we were to check out the hotel, we weren’t aware of a road closure near the hotel. He took the initiative to walk us to a nearby road to hail our DiDi to the railway station. Though we missed our train, we are appreciative of the helpful assistance rendered by John.

Peace hotel is the historic landmark of the pund. there is a fine little museum on the second floor (entrance next to the cafe shop) that is absolutely worth visiting. Staffs are nice and helpful! The hotel is stunning and filled with artifacts.

I've stayed at the Peace Hotel a few times since 1997, and every visit reminds me why it’s such a special place — a perfect mix of historic charm and modern comfort. On my latest trip, I decided to take the hotel’s historical tour, led by the wonderful Zhang Hebe, who’s not only incredibly knowledgeable but also makes the experience feel really personal. The tour kicks off in the museum, then winds through the old hallways, guest rooms, dining areas, the iconic ballroom, and finishes up on the rooftop deck with an amazing view of Shanghai. If you're into architecture, you'll love it — the Peace Hotel is a beautiful example of Art Deco design, and a lot of the original details are still there. Fun fact: back when it was called "The Cathay," the hotel hosted all kinds of famous guests and even popped up in a few modern movie scenes. It still hosts famous guests! If you’re a history buff, this tour is a must — plus, Hebe is great at snapping souvenir photos for you along the way. One tip: before you go, check out "The Last Kings of Shanghai" by Jonathan Kaufman. It gives you some great background on the city’s fascinating past and makes visiting places like the Peace Hotel even more exciting.

Dear Management Team, I am writing to express my heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional service provided by Ms. Hebe Zhang during our recent visit to the Peace Hotel. It was our first visit(24/4/2025) to the Peace Museum, and I was accompanying my elderly parents and a large group of nine people. Although we were not staying guests and the challenges when having big group , Hebe extremely manage us well :) and treated us with the utmost patience, attention to detail, and genuine care. Her warm hospitality left a deep impression on all of us and truly exemplifies the very best of our industry. On Hebe’s recommendation, we returned on Saturday(26/4/2025) for the brunch, and once again she welcomed us warmly at the lobby. Her attentive and thoughtful service made our experience even more memorable. Thanks to Hebe, we are determined to stay at the Peace Hotel during our next visit. She is truly an outstanding asset to your team, and her professionalism and heartfelt service reflect great credit on the Peace Hotel. Thank you once again for having such wonderful staff members like Hebe Zhang.
