The Peninsula Shanghai

the Peninsula is the extreme luxury: understated, efficient, extremely qualitative all over its premises. the rooms are wonderful with views over the Bund, the restaurants are serving excellent food, from breakfast to night snacks. the bar has THE MOST EXTRAORDINARY view over the Bund, in itself it is worth the stay! the concierge is a member of clefs d'or the group of excellence in this profession. in a matter of minutes he foud 2 meals i had been trying to locate for several visits in the city, up to then unsuccessfully : hand made noodles that are divided by hand by the cook, and drunken shrimp, a traditional plate quite hard to find these days. finally the bellman saved my day : while i was departing he enquired where i was flying to and asked to see my ticket to locate the terminal to indicate to the taxi driver. doing so he realized i was heading for the wrong airport as there are two in Shanghai. without his attention to details this mistake would have ruined my trip back. great place , excellent service, and from now on my favourite place to stay in Shanghai!

One of the best hotel, if not the best, we have been in our long travel life. Everything perfect, luxurious, clean, elegant, of the best design and taste, absolutely perfect. The location on the bund is the best possible one with and amazing view on the river and the Oriental Pearl Tower from our room. The hotel is also located next to a beautiful garden and the Nanjing shopping street, 10 out of 10.

Я не ожидала такого от Peninsula, полное разочарование. Началось все с того, что по приезду в отель нас не встретил персонал, не забрал наши чемоданы из машины, у главного входа стоял туристический автобус, кааак такое возможно вообще??? это первый шок, чемоданы вытаскивали сами, тащили сами. Далее нам не сделали гарантированный апгрейд номеров. Мы проторчали час на ресепшен в отеле где вообще нет лобби и в отеле Peninsula во всем мире в целом не может быть ожидание на ресепшен - все сделано для того что бы гости мнгновенно отправлялись в свои номера. НО не в Шанхае. Персонал видимо не в курсе этого. В общем, после часа разборок нас отправили в номера. Один из них был просто в полтора раза меньше второго с окном в 3 раза меньше, каморка. После долгих разговоров (приехали мы утором, переехали вечером) любезный работник ресепшен переселил таки нас в нормальные номера. Отдельно хочу сказать про туалеты в отеле на ground floor. Это такой срач не передать словами. Туда ходят все! Все кто гуляет по набережной а это просто толпы. В туалеты зайти не возможно, люди чуть ли не моются там, переодеваются, делают мейк и т д, воняет, переполненные мусорки, грязь. Напомню, это не просто отель, это Peninsula… уборщицы вламываются в номера без спроса, кстати. В отеле есть бар на крыше. Так вот туда нас не посадили за стол так как держали его не понятно для кого продать package. Гости отеля не в фаворе для персонала бара. Нам просто отказали. И как вишенка на торте - при выезде счета за номера дали с оплатой за прибывание, хотя все было оплачено до заезда. И включили в мой счет цветы которые прислали мне на день рождения но решил что оплатить этот праздник жизни я должна сама. Далее были очень долгие выяснения почему я не оплачиваю цветы и т д. Что я купила из сама себе. В общем… это дикий позор для Peninsula. Это помойка.

What a great hotel. You always know you are in For a good experience when you arrive early morning and they do their best to find you an early check in room. The reception staff were so gracious and got me into a room by 9am! I tried all the restaurants and bars and they are all good. Especially the open air bar overlooking pudong.

Accoglienza cordiale, splendida e strategica posizione, spazi adeguati, sebbene ridotti per sedersi nella hall. Camere ben organizzate e prodotti di qualità. Servizio valido e attento, senza eccessi di premura. Contesto gradevole per ogni necessità.
