The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen

Objectively speaking, this hotel lives up to the Ritz-Carlton brand in terms of luxury positioning, service, and room quality — everything meets the brand’s usual standards. However, from a culinary perspective, this is by far the worst Ritz-Carlton I’ve stayed at in the past two to three months. The club lounge food offering is so underwhelming, yet you still dare to charge for it? The breakfast in the lounge is even worse than what I’ve had at some Four Points by Sheraton properties (e.g., Hefei). Let’s be clear: your lounge access costs 699 RMB per day, which is enough to stay two nights at a Four Points in a smaller city in China. I filled out the Marriott survey truthfully. After checkout, the front office manager called to apologize — but honestly, an apology doesn’t help here. This isn’t a matter of saying sorry — it’s a reflection of how aggressively the hotel is cutting costs. Overall, if it weren’t for the Ritz-Carlton brand name, there are plenty of better options at the same price point, such as the newly opened St. Regis, Park Hyatt, or Andaz.

Thanks for Erick from Club lounge and Aaron from front office making such stay so perfect. They always take good care of customers and attentive to customers' need. The interaction with them can really makes us feel back to home. As this was the first time for me to stay at Futian, Erick and Aaron were so helpful to suggest some nearby shopping malls for mother and me to visit which made this stay more relaxing Hopefully we can be back soon for another nice staycation. 感謝行政酒廊Eric和前台的Aaron，讓我們的住宿如此完美。他們總是好好照住客並注意客人的需求。 與他們的互動真的能讓我們有回到家的感覺。由於這是我第一次入住福田區的酒店，Erick和Aaron非常樂於助人，為我和媽媽推薦了附近的一些購物中心，讓這次住宿更加輕鬆。 希望我們能盡快回來享受另一個美好的度假。

A great pleasure to be back again to RC Shenzhen and had another fantastic stay. We were being well look after by the rooms manager Austin as well his team, the lovely room decoration and every touch up within HKSP team have really given us a long lasting memory. The newly renovated rooms are nice and closely and can’t wait to see the entire hotel being renovated. We must also shared that HKSP team has created a cute turndown services for us by putting our glasses with the tower art. The Paletto Italian F&B team, thank you to the manager, Chef as well the intern lady have been really looking forward to great after our time despite there was a little downside. RC Shenzhen has always given us a great time and really can’t wait to visit again in the near future.

We love visiting Shenzhen on weekends. The Ritz Carlton is conveniently located near the train station, along with many excellent restaurants and shops. Peter, the duty manager, and his team provide outstanding service. The housekeeping team is amazing as well! Highly recommended!
