The Fullerton Hotel Sydney

Das Hotel hat Geschichte, daher wählten wir es. Inzwischen ist es in chinesischen Händen, war vorher in der Westin-Gruppe. Es gibt einiges das gefällt (z.B. das ehrwürdige Haus an und für sich) einiges das wirklich nicht 5-sterne würdig ist, wie z.B. das Frühstücksbuffet. Wer mag sich morgens schon einen Salat zum Morgenessen mischen? Die Brotauswahl ist katastrophal, alles weiche "Wattescheiben". Es gibt keinen Lachs, keinen Schinken und die Salami schmeckt nicht, billige Wurstqualität, nur drei Sorten frische Früchte, tagelang keinen Earl Grey Tee. Wir reden hier von einem sog. 5-Sterne Hotel! Die Angestellten sind alles Asiaten, zwar nett, aber im Restaurant oft etwas unaufmerksam. Das Zimmer wurde bei uns erst um 15.30 Uhr gemacht, dabei vergass man neue Frottetücher und saubere Tassen. Keine 5 Sterne! Wir buchen das Fullerton nicht wieder.

We stayed in the King Atrium room for four days. The room was spacious and looked over the stunning Atrium, which connects the historical to the modern part of the hotel. The Natural light that comes from this Atrium adds to the ambience and luxury when you walk in. It is centrally located and is within walking distance to Wynyard Station and the main shopping malls, and The Rocks/Sydney Harbour. We recommend this hotel and would return!

My teen daughter and I stayed at the Fullerton hotel in an executive deluxe twin room with club access in early May 2025. The hotel is in a fantastic location in the cbd close to shopping and the sights. We parked nearby at the Wilson on Pitt Street, they validated the parking which reduced the fee to $25 a night. The room (2805) was well appointed with a view overlooking Martin Place and the clock tower. The room included club chairs and a desk, and a coffee table. The bathroom was thoughtfully designed with the toilet concealed in a frosted glass cubicle, and the shower was frosted too. There was a bathtub and a single sink. The in room entertainment was easy to use and we appreciated the ability to cast our streaming platforms to the tv, foxtel was also available The club access is an added bonus. We enjoyed afternoon tea on arrival, and breakfast the next morning. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone with a variety of pastries, baked goods, cereals, toast and hot food (bacon eggs French toast etc) All the staff were excellent and attentive. The hotel itself is beautiful, I recommend heading to level 6 for a unique view of the hotel. We'll definitely return to the Fullerton on future trips

The hotel itself was fantastic and generally staff and service accommodating. We were however very disappointed with the breakfast service and then how this feedback was received. No one explained the option available (a la carte or buffet) meaning we missed out on this option, the hot drinks service was incredibly slow, when ordering a second coffee this was then (despite the restaurant being very quiet) lost in the system. It was not up to the standard expected for the hotel and certainly not the price point given the choice of breakfast places available outside the hotel. At checkout before we were even able to provide the feedback (which otherwise was very positive) a trip advisor card was thrust upon us with no option to provide this direct. It’s a shame that the service and ability to feedback has let our perception of the hotel down.

We certainly had a memorable and meaningful stay at The Fullerton Sydney. This was our first visit to Australia during a special occasion as we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. Room was spacious and very clean and the Buffet breakfast at The Place excellent. We would definitely choose this hotel in the heart of downtown if we returned to this splendid and charming city again. Very grateful to The Fullerton Hotel Staff! Edwin & Joham Rivera Utah, USA
