The Langham Sydney

All aspects of our 2 day stay were exceptional! This really became evident when our flight leaving Sydney was canceled and we had to stay another 2 days in Sydney at another 5 star hotel. That experience didn't compare at all to the amenities and service we experienced during our stay at the Langham.

I booked a last minute room at The Langham Sydney and decided to upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite as I had my 6 month old daughter with me who was unwell and Uma was kind enough to let me check in early so I could put my daughter down for a nap. The room was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. I was gifted a little basket with nappies, baby wash, moisturiser and wipes etc for my little girl which was a lovely touch. The bed was comfortable and felt much bigger than a king. Unfortunately our room was facing the street and due to the age of the building and the old sash windows, the noise travelled right inside making earplugs a necessity. That would be my only concern rebooking here again. Breakfast was ample but nothing really impressive. Room service was amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. I’ve stayed at The Langham in Melbourne which is cramped and in desperate need of a makeover unlike The Langham Sydney which is a little tired but ultimately usurps Melbourne. If Langham Sydney changed the windows to double glazed/sound proof this would be the perfect hotel!

We were extremely happy with our stay. everything we could want or need was provided for us. our dogs were accommodated for and treated exceptionally also. we couldnt fault our experience. the staff were amazing and so helpful. the food was amazing. the service was exceptional

The Langham Sydney delivers an unforgettable five-star experience from the moment you walk through the door. The hotel is immaculately presented, with an elegant and peaceful atmosphere that’s matched only by the warmth and professionalism of the staff. Should I mention the beautiful fragrance that also wafts through the hotel?! We recently hosted a national conference at The Langham Sydney and I can honestly say – it was one of the most exceptional experiences I’ve had in any hotel, anywhere. What truly sets The Langham apart is the consistency of service across every level of the hotel. From the concierge and reception team, to the restaurant staff and events personnel, every interaction was marked by genuine hospitality, eye contact, and an anticipatory approach that made guests feel truly cared for. The team operates with a clear sense of unity and pride, and it shows in every detail. If you are looking at also running a conference here - I cannot recommend it highly enough. What a magic team. The location is also ideal — tucked away in the heart of The Rocks, that offers a sense of tranquility while also providing easy access to Sydney’s key attractions. It’s within very easy walking distance to Circular Quay, Barangaroo, and Sydney Harbour, with beautiful views and quaint local streets and houses nearby. We had a number of attendees at the conference from remote parts of Australia, and it was easy for them to find their way to the 'main Sydney sites' at the Harbour. There are also lots of local restaurants and other things nearby, particularly in the Rocks if you wish. Personally, I also felt safe walking around in the evening (as a single female), as there were other tourists and locals walking around. Yet at the same time it was also a relatively peaceful, quiet part of the city - just slightly away from the full on hustle and bustle of the CBD. Transport to and from the airport is also seamless, whether by taxi or train (with Wynyard Station just a short walk away). Dining at The Langham was a highlight. The food was exceptional, with a wide variety of beautifully presented dishes. The pastries and in-house chocolatier creations were particularly outstanding — some of the best you’ll find in any luxury hotel. Staff were also incredibly attentive to dietary needs, ensuring all guests could enjoy their meals safely and with confidence, which is very reassuring when you have a life-threatening allergy such as mine. The Langham also offers a delightful pet-friendly experience, which adds a lovely personal touch for those travelling with furry companions - and provided me with some opportunity for doggy cuddles and kisses while I was away from my own pets for work. (Yes, I'm one of those annoying people that will ask if I can pat your dog). Even if you’re not travelling with furry friends, the warm and welcoming atmosphere makes everyone feel right at home. In short, The Langham Sydney is not just a luxury hotel — it’s a refined, beautifully run sanctuary in the heart of the city. I would highly recommend staying here, whether for fun or business if you appreciate quality, comfort, and world-class service. I have nothing but praise for the staff working there. They were an absolute delight and made everything very easy and smooth - which is an absolute godsend when you are running a conference.

We stayed a night as a couple and were amazed at the outstanding service offered at the Langham. The staff were so welcoming, friendly, professional, incredibly attentive, greeted us when they passed us in the corridors, food was fantastic, the pool, spa etc amazing and the rooms larger than normal. We travel a fair bit and stay only at 5 star hotels and I cannot recall of late a hotel that was all encompassing in outstanding service etc! We were so impressed, we booked another night in a couple of rooms so that our kids could join us at the beautiful Langham. I could go on about the very, very small details I was so impressed with ie, heated towel rack, grooved shower flooring, impeccable room décor, your pink mint holders, pink bow around the spare toilet paper just to mention a few (I could go on…). Safe to say that the Langham Sydney is an absolute gem of a hotel. We were just so thrilled at how outstanding everything was and will certainly be returning and hopeful the Langham standards are met again. The Langham is a very special hotel. The moment you walk in, it just impresses, invites and calms (the Langham scent is beautiful). I love that it is a lot smaller than the bigger chain hotels and would say that this is certainly why it stands out to provide this exceptional service. It has that boutique luxurious feel that is just so warm and welcoming. Almost like coming home … we just love it ! Thank you to your wonderful team, they are a credit to the Langham. We are travelling again and are looking forward to trying the other worldwide Langham hotels. We will be returning.
