Shangri-La Hotel Sydney

The accommodation cost was $1899. When we checked in they took $2300 and said we would get the $400 back when we check out if there were no damages. Now the shocker, they went and took the $1899 off on top of the $2300. Now i am $2300 short in my bank account as it shows pending. When you phone them they blame it all on the bank for withholding the funds. They just dont get it. All you had to do was give me back the $400, you already had the $2300. Never staying at Shangri La again. Absolute morons!!

I am rarely in a city with this hotel chain so I wanted to try it out. It was fun to arrive in my room and see a different view of Sydney than I had before experienced by being down by the water. The room was nice. The check in was fine. I wanted a hotel with a pool to relax between my sight seeing. I think the pool needs some access to the outside. There was actually a patio area, but it was closed. Maybe for the winter.... It was warm enough though to want to get outside and enjoy some fresh air. The restaurant on the 36th floor was a great experience. The breakfast buffet had a good mix of Western and Asian food options. The hotel is up on a hill and accessibility is kind of a challenge if you have mobility issues. I prefer to go everywhere on foot. It is quite hilly in the area. There are some nice local vibe pubs super close that I would have enjoyed trying if I had been staying longer.

El hotel está ubicado de tal forma que hay unas preciosas vistas a la bahía y a 10 minutos caminando de la ópera. Habitaciones amplias, con preciosas vistas a la ópera y el puente y con una cama muy confortable, aunque las habitaciones van necesitando una reforma, se nota el paso del tiempo. El baño es muy amplio y cuenta con ducha y bañera y suficiente espacio para dos personas. El desayuno es variado y la calidad de los alimentos es buena, te atienden muy bien, pero hay mucha gente en el desayuno y lo convierte en un gallinero, todos apretados, ruido, etc. Cuenta con un gimnasio muy bien equipado En el piso 36 hay posibilidad de tomar una copa, o comer, con bonitas vistas a la ciudad, pero con mala calidad de la comida

This is a superb hotel. The views are stunningly beautiful, the rooms are generously spaced and the staff in the Horizon Club lounge are so warm and welcoming. A special thank you to Jay, Nikka and Michael who provided such a lovely welcome to us and our toddler. It was such a delightful experience and we are very grateful for their outstanding hospitality, they are true professionals and their care for their roles really shines through. Thank you Jay, Nikka and Michael.

I do not often write a review but our stay at the Shangi La in Sydney was next level the Staff are just so welcoming and friendly, the wife and I were very impress with the level of service, rooms are very clean, and a very comfortable bed all made our experience enjoyable over a six-night stay. Little things like being severed ANZAC biscuits on a silver tray as you entered the building on ANZAC day a great touch. Well done !!!
