The Okura Tokyo

Absolutely fantastic hotel! It massively exceeded my expectations as someone coming from the west. i was super nervous about the room sizes in Tokyo and our room was very big. As a traveller coming from the UK, of course we had a lot of luggage. I appreciate that room sizes are just smaller in Japan but being on your honeymoon and struggling for space is not something I envisioned for a trip of a lifetime. Book the Okura if you need space to feel comfortable. Amenities were brilliant. Room was always cleaned to perfection and stocked to the brim with water, coffee and snacks! This property is near a lot of embassies so it's in a very glam area and very safe and quiet. This is a wonderful little rest after sightseeing all day in busy tourist areas which can be over-stimulating. The local metro is about an 8 min walk and the hotel itself will sell you a metro card which is great! There are always taxis at the cab rank. Service was exceptional! at any given time, several members of staff are ready to greet you or help. We tried the buffer restaurant one night which was also lovely. The hair salon and spa were both excellent. I have now moved on in the my trip in Japan while I see other cities and hotel but the Okura has stolen a big part of my heart and I long to be back! Stay here if luxury travel is important to you including amazing service and attention to detail at perfect levels!

Amazing hotel, a beautiful room with in room sauna amazing amenities with a skincare box, gift box, and free mini bar which is restocked daily. Average food except the independent restaurants which were phenomenal. Great value for hotel and some really kind staff. Thank you would stay again

What a great hotel! Fantastic service, gorgeous facilities, fabulous spa, beautiful room. I don't need much else! From the moment we arrived until we left the staff were attentive and super-helpful. Our room was spacious, comfortable, extremely well-appointed with a lovely balcony. All our needs were met and I can't wait to go back.

This is the fourth time I stayed at the Okura but a first with my family. We stayed there during cherry clossom - peak season and everything was perfect. The rooms are lovely; the service impeccable; the location great. I also found it good value for money

We’ve stayed in 5 star hotels across the world and this was in a league of its own for service. Calm, architecturally stunning and the heritage wing is beautiful. The swimming pool area is gorgeous and having a swim was a highlight. The room was huge - and massive by Japanese hotel standards. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in and the pyjamas were delightful. Oh and a sauna! Our own sauna! The welcome gifts were also thoughtful and relevant to a trip to Japan. The restocked fridge was also a nice touch. We had a problem with one of our locks (suitcase) and someone came to help us in a matter of minutes and made suggestions of where to get another one. We also required help after we left and it was freely given. It is easy to communicate in English. Location is easy to get to key tourist points from once you know where you are - but a bit like staying in Canary Wharf if you stay in London so might not suit everyone. It was a treat for us, and had scorched it to be a one-off but when we come back to Tokyo I will try and stay again.
