A unique location, overlooking the Grand Canal, Palazzo Barocci emerges like a gem amongst the streets and alleys of the city. Originally built in the 1300s as a domus maioris, this building became Teatro Sant’Angelo in 1676 and was first transformed into a private home and then into a hotel. Palazzo Barocci is the story of an unforgettable part of Venetian history: that of concerts and premieres, that of musicians, writers and immortal characters like Vivaldi and Goldoni.

Vaporetto face a l hôtel top.

Recently stayed for 3 nights. Hotel was in a great location. Stepped off waterbus next to front door of hotel. Easy walking distance to main attractions. Hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant and helped with knowledge on how to get to various places. Breakfast had plenty of choice and constantly replenished. Room was excellent. Would certainly recommend.

We have just returned from a five day’s stay at the Palazzo Barocci hotel in Venice. It is a very special hotel and we loved staying there. The location is great, right in the historic centre and near to everything you would wish to visit; the Rialto Bridge, San Marco Square, the Bridge of Sighs and the Peggy Guggenheim gallery and many other galleries and museums. One of the biggest benefits is that the San Angelo Vaporetto ferry stop is right outside the hotel. We did not see any other hotel that had this facility. We were able to visit Murano island and see the famous glass workshops. We visited the Wave glass factory which allowed you into the works to see first hand Murano glass products being made. Amazingly it was free of charge! Burano Island is also worth a visit. Breakfast is super and made to order in addition to a buffet of fruit, pastries and lots more. The staff are so very friendly and helpful and a special thanks and recognition needs to go to Christina in the restaurant. The young man who was on duty in the afternoon until 2300 each day (25 March – 29 March 2025) was so very helpful with great tips on where to visit and eat and how to use the Vaporetto. I apologise that I did not get his name but he will know who he is. The room was excellent. A very comfy bed and linen and the room was cleaned every day to a high standard. Fresh bottles of water were left every day. Overall an excellent quality four star hotel and we recommend it highly.

The bar manager Martia is the absolute best and the drinks are delicious and very reasonably Priced compared to other places In Venice. This hotel and bar has incredible views and is extremely clean. How could anyone not want an amazing view of the grand canal at a very affordable price
