Found a very used q tip in the bedroom. Upgrades were available (I’m WOH) but we were refused. They reached out to schedule breakfast without notifying us it would come at a significant cost. Not worth it. The Hyatt Place (yes, really) on the same block was MUCH better. (Seriously, check that out because the price different isn’t worth this.)

Excellent experience and great service. A centric place and surround with great places to eat and visit. Is my second time there and I recommended for future events or stays. The service and food are good. A lot of nice space for the conferences and the activities we made.

On the plus side, great location in residential area near Georgetown, staff is generally very good, lobby and rooms are nice (and zen). Some negatives — Gym is on the small side.. There was 1 mat total and it was ripped. Don’t expect views from the rooms. Restaurant was good but avocado toast had guac not avocado— small point but guac did not taste fresh. Tea selection is nice but expect to pay $15 for your tea. As a Globalist, we seem to get the same correspondence as everyone else - 4 pm check-in, cost to park, upgrade for a fee, It wouldn’t take much effort to tailor the correspondence with benefits available to make us globalists excited about the upcoming stay.

something about this hotel doesn't quite meet 5 star quality. feels like a large former hotel chain that had new paint wallpaper slapped on but the low ceilings, windows w ill-fitting shades abutting brick walls outside, brownish carpets along severe unattractive hallways hint to a run down past whatever it was. lobby is pretty, bar is buzzing, staff is so nice, but try to get the front desk on the phone at 5pm and the phone rang and rang and rang. I asked the front desk staff themselves and a bellman how to get front desk on phone? they were befuddled. front desk searching through a list of numbers trying to figure out how a guest contacts them?! didn't make sense to me. for these prices I would expect more and kick myself for not reading reviews here before bc there are far better options in DC at this price.

beautiful hotel, centrally located, very nice staff and rooms. The service is the highlight of the stay. The food was fantastic. The room service was impeccable. Close to very nice restaurant - walking distance. This is the second time staying there, I will come back. Thank you!
