Nearly Perfect Stay at a Great Hotel
Our experience from start to finish was excellent. The staff were incredibly attentive, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and every interaction—from check-in to valet—was seamless. One thoughtful touch that stood out was the valet holding our car after check-out so we could grab breakfast before our flight. While everything else exceeded expectations, the breakfast buffet felt a bit underwhelming. For a better start to your day, I'd recommend exploring one of the great local breakfast spots nearby. Still, overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return.

Great Staycation
Excellent location, wonderful staff, comfortable rooms and convenient to the Wharf and Mall. The onsite spa and exercise room made it convenient to both work out and relax. The food was excellent. The cost of the valet was a bit higher than I anticipated, but they allowed for unlimited in and out and the valet staff were excellent. It was a great experience.

No Good Reason To Be Here
There is no good reason to stay here. Tired old hotel that desperately needs a reno. In a balcony suite, the door to cabinet, AC/Heat control, chain for blinds, phone, light controls in bathroom, temp control in shower were all broken. Shower sprayer head had mold. Carpet was filthy. Plus it's in a dead zone. You have to walk through a busy highway tunnel if you want to visit the Wharf. Spa and Dogon are both seriously overrated, too.

Not happy. I’ve written two reviews. Have not heard from anyone! No soft pillows. Air conditioning would not go below 75 first night.( service people next day very nice)Mishap with driver and blame on us! Waited hour outside with handicap husband.

I like this place…
On my recent roadshow to DC, I changed midway to Solamander, to try this, only to realise it is the old Mandarin Oriental property. This is an upgrade vs MO though. Great all around service, good breakfast, very good rooms and overall one of the properties that do feel like a real 5 Star in Dc. What could be better is that A) Mini bar was empty, should not be. B) Breakfast should be also served in the wonderful terrace. Overall, whilst not at a Four Seasons level of luxury, a very solid/good 5Star hotel in town.

Not up to the standards of our stay at previously booked luxury link hotels. No in room coffee bar, no mini bar, blamed everything on Covid, and they were a new hotel, we would not stay there again. Definitely not 5 star, location good, no ice maker you had to call for it.
